I don't think so, but you will have to lock down each and every one - no mass lock down!

And then you will have to vote for each and everyone - again no mass voting Sad

Have a vague recollection that there's a 1000 item limit (or thousand stacks of items) per container/hangar. Haven't come across any other limits for BPO lockdowns but it's not something I've dabbled with a great deal.

Take the above with a pinch of salt, hunches and vague memories are no substitute for facts.

Even if there is such a limitation, there are 7 corp hangers, so the hard limit might be 7000 BPO. And if you have that many, you probably aren't worried about funding another corp to handle more. :)

I am going to test the 1000 item/hanger limit today.

OK, tested and personal hangers are limited to 998 items before this comes up:
Shelf Space error

I would hazard that this is a hard limit for all types of container, GSC, personal hanger, ship cargo space, etc......

Even if you did lock down 1000 items, I guarantee that a few of them will randomly unlock at some point

If you just make the hangar division QUERY and remove TAKE, the only threat to BPO are the CEO and directors.

and since you shouldn't wholly trust your directors (even your alts)....

Hard limit is 1000 per hangar section / container.

In personal hangars the number is shared between ships and items hangar floor so in practice you can have up to 999 items in your items hangar section (and the last one is the ship or pod you are in when in station).

Note that when unlocking the CEO will need to "put the vote result into action" or whatever it's named nowadays. So BPO's will not unlock without an action from CEO even if unlock vote has been passed successfully. When you lock them they get automatically locked after passing the lock down vote.

Locking down BPO's is a reasonable practice as that way when your director gets hacked the BPO's will not go anywhere. If CEO gets hacked you have at minimum 24h to petition and get the guy locked down before he runs for it with your BPO's.
