Well since they are removing the old camera, is there a way to turn on auto chase your ship view? everytime i just through a stargate the view gets reset.

Old camera still in game. Disable new camera in setting. Every patch camera setting resets.

they are removing the old camera on tuesday otherwise id stay with the old camera, but need a new solution

Damn...
I was using old camera too.
In Orbit Camera press Shift+C

EDIT:
I just entered in game old camera still there

yea the camera is still there until tuesday, thats when they are removing it

shift c does auto track the target, but i want my camera to be more centered on the back of my ship, the chase camera is the closest thing thatll function but it resets everytime when going through a gate

I... hate... the new camera! And now I'm bloody stuck with it.

What's the deal with zooming in when I just want to move it away from whatever it's tracking? I have to do yet another movement just to see what I want to see.

All that tactical mumbo jumbo and the totally useless first person camera. Why didn't they just finish the damn in-door station?

Edit: Oh, just found out what to do! A friendly soul told me to:

  1. Press Esc.
  2. Go into the Display & Graphics tab of the settings.
  3. Then turn off Dynamic Center Offset and Dynamic Field of View.
  4. Generally turn off the dynamic bs and you've got a camera that's pretty much like the old one, except it centers faster - which I have to admit is actually pretty nice.
  5. Dunno if it follows ship into warp yet, though.

Double edit: It does! :) I'm now a happy camper. Forget all the salt from earlier. I'll use it on my steak instead.
