Limited Engagements + Suspect Flags - Can you combine to gank?

Hi all,

I'm looking through the aggresion system and wondering if the following is possible (and if not, why not)

- Entering a limited engagement with a corp-and-fleet mate

- Getting flagged as suspect to a third party

- Allowing the suspect to attack, thus breaking the terms of the limited engagement and becoming suspect themselves.

- Bringing in the corp / fleetmates and ganking the now-suspect 3rd party.

I haven't yet tried this - I'm getting this idea (if it even is remotely novel, It may have been asked a million times before or be plain obvious, but I wanted to be sure) from one of the suspect flag enablers "Interfering with a limited engagement". If that includes shooting either side (even if they are a suspect), would this work?

Thanks in advance, all.

suspect status overrides any kind of limited engagement you have

Ahh, that's a shame.

Remote reppers it is, then :)

Thanks.

It is possible to be suspect, get a limited engagement timer with someone and keep the timer topped off and allow the suspect timer to expire. Thus removing any mates they have from assisting directly in combat. It's tricky to do but it can be amazing when it works.

When you are suspect anyone is free to shoot you , ye then both get a limited engagement flag to one another.
You are still free to be shot at by anyone and will continue to generate le flags for anyone that does,
their flags are specificly related to you though so the two that shot at you cant shoot eachother.

Suspect flags only propagate through logi or targeted remote assists and only when the pilot(s) in question have their safety set to yellow.

The tricks with suspectbaiting are
A) have logi off grid ready to warpin
B) have an orcha or bowhead off grid ready to warpin and reship into something scary
Or
C) be a badass mother ****er and kill his ass with your pidely little bait ship.

I recomend c.

Never not C.

Links and logi produce tears of rage.

Smashing them with an undersized ship produces tears of shame and regret... a much finer vintage.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Was shooting a guy once with a suspect flag in highsec. He had limited engagement timers and waited them out. I shot him a second after his timer ended and was concorded. This can be a good tool for trickery or fair one vs ones.

This ^

Also you would be amazed how often C really does work - always bet on stupid

Though sadly enough people have become so convinced that A or B are the only 2 options that I have found I actually get shot more these days if I just bait in a big scary ship than if I bait in a weak one.

@ the OP - You are insane. Read Ralph's summary of suspect mechanics.

@ Sean - this is why only idiots fly around with safety on red. Yellow is the only setting you ever need unless it is your goal to suicide gank or to get a -10 sec status in low-sec.
