Insta locking is sort of stupid for large ships to be able to do ... Other than that, carriers are finally worth using.

Carriers will be nerfed when the OP gets one and uses it to PvP

A small gang will always find good fights. And avoid carriers.

How can u avoid a cynoed in carrier with the locking speed of an interceptor and enough alpha to take out a plated cruiser

you cant if you're pointed. The same way you wouldn't be able to avoid a couple of black ops. You took the bait.

But that means not fighting anything. u cant even kite due to the alpha of the carrier. We are not talking drake cyno bait here, anything will do as long as the cyno is lit

EDDIT: blackops cant aplha u off the grid, they usually need a cov ops cyno to jump too unless u are prepared to have the "bait" sitting there for a long time and they are not well tanked.

Omg. Just bring a griffin/falcon/rook/widow. Jam the fighters. The fighters are easy to perma jam. Without fighters a carrier is useless. A solo carrier is just a km waiting to happen these days. Stop complaining and adapt.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

Something to keep in mind is that ship balancing is an ON-GOING process, it will never end. Every change you make to the game risks unbalancing some aspect of the ships.

Now, did they push the carriers too far? The question is, can they be killed with a reasonable process? If the answer is yes, then the answer to the first question is likely no. If the answer is no to the reasonable process question, then carriers are likely over powered.

To the OP's point about small gangs though, I can't find a reason why a small gang should be able to kill a carrier unless they are purpose built for taking on fighter groups.

More rocks.

Invalid argument

Im stating that small gangs and solo pvp'ers have no chance in this meta and your responds is bring more peeps? then it aint really a small gang or solo pvp.

Bring a dreadnought... If they are dropping carriers left right and centre on you then a single good dreadnought drop will make mince meat of a carrier.

Alternatively if you are roaming with subcaps without capital support then either bring ECM or bring logistics ships or alternatively just avoid the carrier (that is the point of roaming around in an agile sub cap fleet)

Once that carrier has dropped it is not going to be going anywhere soon with jump fatigue and super slow align and warp times.
