Hello everyone!

My HD 6970 died a week ago, so now I am using notebook (i5 and Intel HD 4000) to play EVE, but frame rates are very low, even on the "Performance" preset. Unfortunately, it's impossible for me to play with my corpmates.

So I want to buy R7 250 with 1Gb GDDR5 (82 USD in nearest computer hardware store) or GT 740 (87 USD) to play EVE oh high settings (1080p, medium post-processing and low AA, no HDR). Hovewer, if players with R7 250 or GT 740 will confirm that it's impossible to play with these settings, I'll keep saving money for better GPU (R7 360).

I also should mention that my budget is very limited, so R7 360 option is not the best one for me (I should be able to buy that card at the end of June). I am not in the USA or EU (Russia), so, uh, I have some problems with postal service.

Thanks!

That's good to hear, thanks. Ah, and what about big fleet fights? For example, with 100 ships on grid. Do you experience FPS drop? If so, do changing settings to "Performance" helps without reducing screen resolution?

i usually turn brackets off for larger fights like that, lower graphics if need be (1 account), but for micro/small/solo stuff its fine on high graphics, if i have my alt on then ill switch to low graphics on both accounts.

just make sure you have a decent enough processor too

I was watching a fight in Saranen with circa 1500 ships on grid and it was holding steady at about 20-25

brackets off ofc and I run on 1080p
