Blood Retributor is right. Players should have the option to be safe or in a challenging environment as they choose.

CCP Falcon is right. Eve is harsh and it should stay this way. But harsh does not mean you are bullied, under constant harassment and ganking.

Eve has the right to design their game like they want.
Players in Eve have the rights to pull their subscription if they dont like it and when there is no other option as being harassed and ganked, even in safe spots.

A game should be designed best to hit the interests of every possible player- and in the end every paying customer. If the business is not focused on that, it will go like it came.

You are contradicting yourself on the first two points you made... lol
You want safety, well...... uninstall the game haha!

EVE was never meant to be a "safe" environment, neither was highsec.

And no, eve isn't dying... only the afk bears are Lol

Well, if the afk bears are paying customers and they pulled their subscription and their paying multiboxing accounts, then I suppose you will make this bussiness for CCP up with ganking. I bet.

I had 6? or 8? multiboxing accounts and inlcuding me their where all on subscription. Now there is just 1 :)

My first CEO taught me to avoid gankers within my first week in Eve. Eve isn't meant to be easy, or safe. You can keep yourself from harm, but you need to learn how to do it.

In my years of mining I only ever lost 1 ship to gankers, 14 cats landing on you will do that. I didn't mind as they dedicated a lot to get the kill.

Safe spaces already exist, they are called starter systems. Once you leave them, you're fair game.

You blaming this on gankers is like blaming the cake maker because he makes cake hahaha
Go cry a river to someone who cares.

Besides, one guy with 8 account is irrelevant, since there's way more subbed players Lol

CCP has been fine with people pulling their subs, because they don't like the nature of the game, for over a decade. Your argument is moot.

Also safe spots, the only safe spots in Eve are the ones that you make for yourself.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Lots of fun, right? You know how they call in the army the "bold" (courageous, daring, etc.) newbies who get into stuff without being prepared or ready? Reckless idiots! Dangerous to themselves and even worse to others.

As I do not want to behave like a reckless idiot (even if it is a game), I am mining to get money for a better ship for lowsec and training skills to be able to use it. Now, a bunch of "payed guns" like you is coming to hi-sec to ruin my chance of even starting to have fun.

But this IS NOT the army. It IS a game. You are allowed to do stupid things without getting your ass into serious trouble. Risk is part of the fun. Finding your limits and and going beyond too. That is exactly what this kind of games are for.

Within reasonable limits regarding rl obviously. Don't spend time or money that you cannot afford.

It's been 13 years and in those 13 years countless MMOs have been and gone [1], but EVE not only continues but makes enough money for CCP to bleed it away on side projects. Can't be that much of a recipe for disaster.

You've made a common error. Mass-market appeal is one route to success - it works for World of Walking - but so is carving out a niche and sticking to that niche. It'll never be everyone's cup of tea, but at least you don't risk the next WoW coming and destroying you.

Its right to blew up whatever, what is technically possible and not against the Eula.

The reason why to blew up, is not important. It can be reasons such as afk or autopilot, but also such as "i dont like your profil"
or "i am bored" "i want to steal your loot" or there can be also no reason.
The answer is: you can do it, if you like to do it. And the answer is, you can protect yourself, if you like to do it.

EVE exist since that long time, thanks also to the crime and gankers.

If something get out of controll, such as Hyperdunking or Freighterganks, CCP intervent. They changed the mechanics
and made it more difficult. This was a right step for this 2 cases. For the normal highsec crime, such as ganking miners, gate-ganks with trashers or vexors / moa, undock ganks at hubs, there is in this days no reason to change anything, nothing is out of controll.

Technics, stategies, "brain on", give each pilot the possibility to protect you and avoid 90-95 % of possible ganks.

Each action can have its consequences. If you autopilot, afk mine, fit-wrong ship, hauler, but also if you pve or pvp.
How many ships got lost in pve for all stupid mistakes? Each mistake give the great chance to learn, to avoid, to become better.
But, as in real life, not all persons are able or willed to understand and to improve. Without all this crime, this action, eve would have been dead since years.

Ganking is simple.

People suck at pvp, so they look for targets that cannot fight back or at least allow an advantage they can live with.

This is why they result to tactics of desperately hunting easy kills while risking as little as possible, because they know they can't win any other way. It is the only way they can feel "safe" and pvp while preaching about others feeling "safe" by their selective engagements.

Welcome to eve.

if i wanted to kd whore id just buy a titan for an alt , put it in a neutral corp, and blow it up.

I'm more of a net profit/loss for time invested to goals type, not a "i fly frigates for muh kda" type
