Mass Test on Singularity on Tuesday, 24th May 2016

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, May 24th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

  • Client and server performance
  • Make sure that a whole bunch a bug fixes did not break anything Blink


How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal. More detailed instructions are available here.

Test steps:

  • Meet in FD-MLJ at X-BV98 gate
  • Jump to X-BV98
  • Align to Citadel
  • Warp to Citadel but not in fleet warps.
  • Shoot the Citadel
  • Fleet W+X: Warp to Poitot, no fleet warp
  • Fleet W: Jump to Poitot + setup gate camp.
  • Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate


What else should I know?
Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test

Couldn't log in for the test, I'm assuming because my account is only about two months old.
When will the next mirror be? Is there a thread which posts dates for upcoming mirrors?

CCP Habakuk, did you find the warp flash bug? If you did not (and think its still really a bug), I think we need a new test. The instructions we got about it were rather poor, and I did not really understand what you wanted us to look for. Thus, it may have been no one was really looking for the right thing to see the bug.

From what I understood (by the end of the test) is a warp flash would appear on my ship soon after I finish a warp, just as someone else arrives. But for all the warp-about tests I was looking for a flash well after I had arrived, perhaps too late to see the bug. Or I was looking for spurious flashes on other people's ships. It was all rather confusing as to just what you wanted us to look for.

In addition, I had my graphics setting turned down so far that initially I was not seeing any flashes at all. So, if you re-test this, I suggest:

Specify the minimum graphics setting you want us to use, where higher is still acceptable.
Tell us exactly when and where we should be looking for spurious flashes.
Maybe set up two locations and have us warp back and forth for a few minutes, waiting at each end for 10 to 30 seconds to check for the bug.

I don't suppose it's possible to schedule these tests for other times as well? in my time zone I was at work all day and never able to help.. and that seems to be all too common.
