Returning after almost 14 months off and using the new launcher. Previously I had figured out a way to run multiple clients with settings cached in different folders allowing me to use 3 monitors with different graphics settings on each and have them remembered (i.e. which monitor each client was running on, window position, size, etc.) when I exited the game. I'm trying to do the same thing this time and can't seem to figure it out. I've read some instructions on setting up links ("mklink /d EVE2 EVE) but get an error message when I try to open the link folder. Eveopedia is gone and many of the "How To" links point there.

If the info is needed, I'm running Win7 x64 and the client is installed in Program Files x86 and, as always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The new launcher has separate profile settings for each account. I haven't tried running different profiles for mine, but I believe by pointing each at a different path you should be able to do what you want.

I recall having to do something to make multiple clients work better. It had something to do with creating separate folders so that two clients weren't accessing the same file causing conflicts.

However with the new launcher CCP also created some kind of shared cache that I thought was supposed to fix that problem. So I was under the impression that we no longer needed to do that.

I also used to do like you did but now I just launch the second client with no special anything. I'm not sure if it is right or wrong but it seems to work fine for me.

No need to do this any more.

When you use the new launcher, you can pick which 'set' of settings will be used, for which client.

so you start the launcher, log into an account, then add the other accounts.

Then you can click on the cog on the same line as the account name. click manage profiles, and create as many profiles as you need for your accounts (or copy other profiles).

Once they're set up, you can assign accounts to profiles, through the cog.

Woo! CSM XI!
