Standard Slicer kiting fit has:

. 2x Focused Pulse Lazors II, almost always with scorch loaded

. MWD + long point

. At least 1 locus coordinator rig

. At least 1 heatsink

. Usually an ancillary armor repper

The rest of your rigs and low slots is everybody's personal taste on speed/agility rigs and mods (nanofiber structures and polycarb rigs mostly), additional range/tracking mods (further locus rigs or tracking enhancer mods), further tanking mods (like DCU, but few people use that).

CPU is the constraint (PG is oversized for pulse kiting slicer), some use a CPU mod too though it's usually better to avoid fitting mods whenever possible (since they use up a slot for a more 'useful' mod/rig).

Some use beams as well, never tried them myself, you have to be more careful with your (manual) piloting to compensate for their low tracking. Scorch almost always hits with no problems.

Personally I'd prioritize agility and extra weapon range (since lazors have very low falloff).

Snake implants help, links even more so but those are for pussies. :)

You basically have 2 fits, pulses with scorch or beams. Both have pros and cons.

scorch is pretty much the all rounder, the slicer a beginner should fly, and still an amazing tool for an experienced slicer pilot. It has excellent tracking, good range (i think like 25 KMs optimal with locus out the ass, can't be sure atm, no eft here), good damage, decent cap, excellent speed

Compared to pulse slicer the beams variant has better damage at equivalent ranges, and can shoot much further, out to lock range (which also means tracking disruptor aren't as big an issue). Conversely, it has absolute **** tracking and horrid cap life, and could be a tad slower and less agile compared to the pulse one (assuming no fitting implants you'll need a cpu mod in the lows, taking away a nanofiber if you roll 2).

No one's better per se, depends on how you fly it and against what really.

Fits are roughly the same, minor variants depending on personal preference about the lows, someone likes to roll dual nanos, someone likes a dcu, someone likes a SAAR. Double heat sinks pretty much mandatory. Lowest cap intensive mwd and t2 point, beams/pulses. Rigs again personal preference, some go with full locus rigs, some mix it up with locus /metas or damage.

Manual piloting is pretty much mandatory on both types for them to shine. Sure you can get away with orbit / keep at range if you engage at range an AB frig but other than those scenarios you'll have to be on your toes.

Amazing ship tho, probably my absolute favourite in the game, engaging gangs solo in a slicer is the most fun i can get in EVE

Use Beam lasers, more dps at similar range over Scorch, more total range.

Downside: If something gets really close, you can't track it anymore. Then again, if something gets really close, you already ****** up to begin with and are probably scrammed and going down in a matter of seconds.

Quad LiF or go home, same caplife better sig.

Cold Gas has a higher CPU req. Gives 10 seconds without any reps, or 3 seconds while repping.

I suppose the few seconds you gain with the cold gas could potentially make a difference, but you would need to run a CPU implant on the pulse slicer, and a higher grade implant on the beams.

AB/web is quite fun indeed.

I'd try it with pulse lasers too - might as well just brawl and conflag applies well (just make sure you take advantage of AB/web to reduce transversal).
