Surely that's different though, since that's "British Encyclopaedia", which would indicate you are saying "New Edenish Encyclopaedia", but then again a French encyclopaedia would be "Encyclopaedia Francorum" would it not?

Again though, it really doesn't matter how accurate it is, the the general public it looks no different from if you were to "russianify" it by calling it "Newski Edenski Encyclopaediaski". Just looks like you've jammed "ica" on the end.

It doesn't matter how it looks, what matters is that it's correct. An important rule for any budding polyglot to learn. Also, it kind of is a 'New Edenic Encyclopaedia', so the name is still appropriate. A French version would likely be Gallica, because Gauls.




Oceanus Britannicus is the English Channel dividing Britain and France, not the entire sea surrounding Great Britain. Also, that has nothing to do with the primary lexicographic context. 'Encyclopaedia Britannica' refers to 'the collection of knowledge about Britain'. If you're going to be an idiot, I'm going to call you one.
