Hi

So I launched a citadel and added people I know to the allowed list. But they still have access denied?. Do I need to wait for a timer or something. The citadel is online and is running through a 1 day secure thingy

Any help would be great

So your character is a couple months old, in NPC corp and you bought / anchored a Citidal ?

Shocked

Guess I should actually read Dev Blogs instead of just quickly glancing through them.

Wish I had an answer for your question. By the way, gratz on getting a Citidal.

agreeing with DMC on this not being an NC Q&A question.

I mean your character is newish but the question is not about beginner gameplay. Anyway I have no idea the answer to your question. I would imagine that the people hanging out in Science and Industry might be better to answer this or maybe warfare and tactics, I'm not sure maybe and ISD would have a better idea where to put this. I almost want to say Ships & Modules but a Citadel is neither of those.

If you wanted to move this post to a different section of the forums you'd have to report your own thread and ask an ISD to move it for you.

Sorry that the only help that I could be is to suggest trying a different section of the forums.

its all ok

I spoke to the Help channel in game and my question was answered.

The citadel has a 24 hr deployment window
Then a 15 min vun window
Then a 1 and a half day secure window.

They said it will not be viewed on the overview until the secure timer runs out, then the allowed list can dock

Hmmm, I'm not convinced.

Does the 1 1/2 day secure window display a countdown timer?

I was chatting to a corp who deployed one near me, I was watching a timer count down, which I presumed was the initial deployment window.

A minute later I had docking rights.

2 1/2 days before allowing anyone to dock seems a bit extreme.

Well I did a little bit of reading.

Quote:
Citadels can be anchored, specialized and expanded anywhere, with a few exceptions: They cannot be anchored in shattered wormholes, Thera or Drifter Hive Wormholes.

Anchoring Citadels is pretty simple: Drag the structure into space from your ship hangar, position and align it to your wishes and start the anchoring process. That’s it!

Citadels of any size usually need 24 hours to be anchored. Anchoring them in nullsec takes longer, if you’re not anchoring them in a system that belongs to your alliance. For each systemindex-level you will need one day longer to anchor your citadel, which comes to a maximum of 6 days.

During the 24 hours of anchoring, the citadel is invulnerable, directly afterwards it will go into its vulnerable state (see further down: Attack and destroy”) in which it can be destroyed.

There's a lot more threads with info about Citidals in the sub-forum "EVE Information Portal".

Ok I read that, but it does not mention when you can allow docking. Unless you think it means after anchoring?

Well according to that Dev blog the anchoring time depends on the location. It does say that after the anchoring is done, the Citidal becomes vulnerable and is open to attack. If that's the case then it should also allow access rights as well.

I think the OP should either file a bug report or submit a support ticket. Probably best to do both.

Maybe you messed up with the access lists? After the 15min "boot" time following the 24h anchoring the Citadel is fully operational as long as the hull is not reinforced. I tried this on SiSi, used an alt corp to anchor and configured Tipa as administrator.

I'm my own NPC alt.

You need to apply the access list to the structure profile.

This is correct. After the 15 min boot time - anybody in your access list can dock. You have to setup the access list then save it. Its a little awkward but works.

OCD in overdrive ...

It isn't a 15 minute "boot time" or anything else.

It is the first repair timer, because an anchored citadel doesn't have armor or shield, only structure.
