News reaches Gutter Press concerning Ametat, the Scepter, the ancient artifact that gave Emperor Amash-Akura vigour and kept him from aging, given to the Emperor by the Sefrim, and which later vanished inexplicably.

A pilot from the Khanid Kingdom, claims to have heard rumours that King Khanid II found Ametat, somewhere in Kingdom space.

Astounding !

The rumours go on to suggest that it is Ametat that gave King Khanid II his remarkable longevity and vigour, and that King Khanid II graciously gave Ametat to the then Empress Jamyl, in return for the Kingdom being welcomed back as a vassal kingdom of the mother Empire.

Incredible !

Gutter Press spoke with several people about this rumour, to obtain their opinions:

"I find it hard to believe, that if King Khanid had found Ametat, that he'd have been able to keep quiet about it", said one Hedion University archaeologist.
"Well, it would explain the King's remarkable longevity and good health. But so would a number of other things", said a medical researcher from the Sehmy medical school.
"If the Empress Jamyl managed to secure Ametat for the Empire, then, the Council should make her a saint", opined an Udorian exotic dancer, at a theatre showing an interpretive dance production of "The Scriptures".
"I prefer not to talk about King Khanid, or whatever he may have done", said a Theology Council scholar.

Unconvinced !

No new information has as yet been received by Gutter Press about Avetat the Crown, the companion artifact to Ametat, also given to Emperor Amash-Akura by the Sefrim, which also vanished at the same time as Ametat.

Just the facts.

How...amusing...

Well, it sure beats the usual conspiracy theory that King Khanid is a Cloned Abomination.

And... maybe he did find the Avetat as well, and thusly, devised brilliant stratagems to keep the Kingdom independent of the Empire until a time of his choosing.

Hmmm.

Now at the dawn of the Blood Age, a holy and righteous God restores this most precious artifact to the Chosen people of God.

Should a wayward and liberal Empire attempt to wield the Ametat for wayward and liberal ends (freeing slaves, galactic peace, and so on), it will have no effect. Only a Reunified Amarr-Blood Raider Empire-Covenant, committed to Reclaiming by force, can war down the enemies of God with the Ametat.

Even so, may the Blood Age come quickly. Amen. Amarr Victor.

I don't understand this fanaticism about relics. The God gave them power, the God can take their power. If you need this power, you shouldn't look for some trinkets of old, but dedicate your life to praying to God. For He will give you what you deserve.

It's less about the power and more about the symbol. Even in the Tribes we ascribe power and/or meaning to tokens, totems, signs and etc.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.
