As some of you may have noticed, I recently left PIE Inc. and joined Teraa Matar. I would like to publicly pledge my allegiance to Avlynka Surionen, her corporation, Teraa Matar and her cause, ending the destruction of the Matari people.

I still believe in God and I will continue to spread His word and wisdom to those who are willing to listen. But I will no longer watch as people are humiliated and reduced to drug addicted, shells of their former selves. My family owns slaves, though I do not and they are treated with the same dignity and respect that we afford anyone else under our employ. I know that there are many good Holders out there, but as long as the Empire allows the mass abuse of slaves, I cannot support it, as sad as that makes me.

I may as well take the opportunity to also pledge my support to Ava and Teraa Matar. Really, Conventia, you and Astrid have done much to foster my loyalty and own fascination with the leadership of our Commander, and I can't help but to thank you for it.

These artifacts of my former life take time to work through. I appreciate the reminder, however.

There is no middle ground. You have decided to oppose God and the Empire.

That is for God and The Empire to decide.

I assume your change of heart will come with the release or granting of freedom to slaves under your ownership then?

Or at least pressure on your family to reconsider at the least.

Not really.

As I suspected, something wasn't quite right with her.

Or her fellow pilots, either way it would be utterly foolish to not keep her on a tight leash indefinatly.

I never said there was a middle ground. I have clearly picked a side.

I have never owned slaves, so this concern is irrelevant. I defend those who need defending, I do not enslave people.

Once again, thank you Miss Vitalia for your concern and the same to you, Mr Areth.

I for one am thrilled to have Conventia onboard. She is an asset to Teraa Matar, and a credit to the human race as a whole, posessing the ability to make a decision in spite of the ethnocentric influences so many of us are mired in.

I feel no need to keep her on "a short leash". She has made a decision which, were I in her place, I would likely lack the strength to make.

Besides, it would seem that the very act of "keeping people on a leash" is what convinced her to join us in the first place, hmm?

The amount of trust placed on new members of the Republic are of little concern to me however i support and congratulate any act of agression against the Empire and do hope Ms.Underking proves to be a valuable asset in your upcoming conflicts.

I'm afraid to say you've broken the threshold, pilot. Once you move from one flag to another, then there's no telling next when you'll move along once again. Rarely have I seen permanent allegiance changes from one's place of birth to another cause.

Well, like I said in the other thread, I've got a lot of respect for you because of this choice you've made. I'll have even more if you can make it stick.
