I dont know how many ganks has ben ruined by this ****** 33% resist?

LOL this is such a stupid post. I am bored at work or would not bother posting here, but I may be looking for a debate to pass the time.

Anyways:

A ganker crying about 33% resists for a basically risk free version of "PVP" is nice.

However, my favorite statement here is "May I just move back to WoW?"

A person complaining about carebears is considering stopping playing eve and going to WoW.

Let's see if I can channel my inner-ganker here:

Your tears are so sweat.
Go back to WoW if you don't like it.
Eve is not suppose to be easy.
You should buy a ganking permit.
Can I have your stuff?
Can I have your skillpoints when you quit?
Since a ganker is quiting the game, does that mean that anti-gankers won?
Don't undock what you can't afford to lose?

I am sure I am missing other items to say here, but whatever.


Now to make a worth while comment so ISD can't say I was just here to troll, why do you think the 33% resist bonus is the worse thing done to ganking lately? Were you unable to do the math to figure out the additional EHP a freighter had to bring enough people?

Edit: Also to clarify, I have ganked and been ganked, and believe it is an important part of the game.

What always gets me about this type of complaint is that it fails to look at the reason for the change and just assumes it was an attempt at nerfing the gank community. It doesn't consider that the bonus to hull resistance was tied to a major overhaul of our beloved suitcase. This was a huge change, shifting damage controls to a passive mod, altering it's resist profile, and opening a new chapter in ship design where you no longer have to dedicate a slot to a DC no matter what you fly. Nope, it was all about CCP making eve more a carebear paradise instead of being a side effect to a change that opened up ship fitting options. Ugh!

As a ganker, I agree with your post. While it did change things, it was a widespread and sweeping change. The effects on ganking, in this case, were a side effect.

While you are quite correct that the effects are much more widespread, I think it is interesting to note the effects on ships that couldn't fit a suitcase to begin with.

'Tis true that the 33% across-the-board hull-bufff helped Highsec freighters' survivability, especially if you take into account the touted change to the bumping mechanic. But you know, we're here for the long-haul, so to speak. That means devising counters and quite simply getting on with the job.
