Coronation fashion predictions ?

Omg hi !

So, the news says that the Empress is going to be coronated on the 27th of the 9th, which is like, not all that far off really.

Still, plenty of time for people to get some fancy clothes tailored for the occasion.

So, I was wondering, what do people think will be the fashion at the coronation this time ?

I think that given the Empress's background, then highly ornate gold jewellery will be the order of the day for a lot of Amarr society ladies.

What does anyone else predict for the coronation ?

Be a Space Nun, it is fun. \o/

I have already reached out to my tailor on the Emperor Family Station in Amarr to have him make me a new suit with filigree on the jacket in Tash-Murkon colors, and I will be wearing Tash-Murkon and Emperor Family lapel pins.

I will be making the pilgrimage to Dam-Torsad to watch the coronation in person. This is truly a historic event that I am excited to witness. I hope I will be able to score tickets to one of the coronation balls. Big parties aren't normally my type of scene, but in this case I would hate to miss out on the event. Especially if there is a chance that the Empress would make an appearance.

Medium vermilion and jet black will probably be fashionable.

Succession Committee aren't in a hurry it seems, last time it took less than a month from end of the trials to inauguration.

If it only takes a month for your suit to be made then I am afraid you have sacrificed quality for expediency.

That is the reason I contacted my tailor now. I figured that there was enough time between now and September to ensure for a quality product to be produced.

Why wouldn't it?

Because our new Empress is little more than a money-grubbing merchant, I expect to see ostentatious displays of capitalist symbols:

  • Tophats
  • Monocles
  • Gold watches
  • Shiny black leather shoes

..and so on.

What's wrong with that? The Empire may be redeemable after all.

Think a prison jumpsuit for you would be more ideal to impress the new Empress...

Personally, I'm going with flannel pajamas and fuzzy bunny slippers.... and a cup of hot chocolate.... because I'm staying home. Because I don't care. Because I am not Amarrian.

Robes. Lots and lots of robes. Several layers of the thing. In Amarrian colours. Emblazoned in emblems of faith. May or may not include relics on them for some very important individuals.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I plan on wearing nothing. As I will be suspended in gelatinous goo while controlling my Falcon patrolling the space around Amarr.

Just sayin, but if everyone is wearing her house colors and you're wearing her house colors, you're not trying hard enough.

I'm less concerned about the fashion of the Empress-to-be, but more concerned about the substance speech she is likely to give after her coronation.

What direction is she going to take the Empire? Will she take increased actions against Blood Raider and Sansha forces operating within Imperial boarders? How will she respond to the ever present threat of Drifters? Especially knowing that they are direct cause of her predecessor's demise. What kind of relationship is she planning on fostering with the other nations in the Cluster? These are the questions that intrigue me.
