Hi, I'm currently with Pandemic Horde and while there's lots of fleets going out and getting fights the numbers are just too staggering to have any fun. Usually we roam with 80-100+ people and blob everything in sight. I would rather learn how to fight in smaller gangs or even solo but I don't think Horde is the environment for that.

I'm looking for PvP oriented, small gang corporations that would be willing to take me under their wing. I know of RvB but that just seems a little chaotic for my taste. I've also heard FW is a good place to get solo kills but again I've read too many stories of blobs or linked pilots all over the place (yes, I do realize this is everywhere).

What would be the best place, preferably closer to nullsec space that would help me learn to better pilot in small gangs or solo? Any good corporations that I can look into?

Check out the recruitment section of the forums and find a corp that fits, have a look at their activity via a killboard and if you like what you see have a chat with them - if they seem fun, there's not much to lose besides a few pixels - unless joining that corp is a red flag for future recruiters.

FW is ok, but tbh for most of the organised corps it's just one form of content as legit and challenging war targets come and go (where'd you go Calmil??). IMO it's nice to be in a place that mixes things up a bit and gives you access to solo/small gang/big gang stuff without bashing you over the head and telling you you're doing something.

If you are completely new, RvB can't be a bad starting point for cheap, easy access pew pew.

Having never been a Null Sec pilot my opinion is a bit biased but most of the FW corps I know are pretty much small gang only. Every now and then Gall or Cal militia will get a decent sized fleet but typically getting 10 in a fleet is a good sized fleet. Most are smaller than that.

Most of the active FW corps live within a few jumps of null and even do organized null fleets on occasion.
