In darker days, we cowered from thunder, we feared lightning.

In time, we conquered this fear, we dispelled superstition, and we harnessed electricity.

In the future, we may yet come to understand Caroline's Star, and to gain a greater control over superluminal mechanics.

So, yes, we'll play in the storm.

Nicely put.

All I'm saying is, playing with lightning is a bit different than playing with something that could cause a gamma ray burst that could end all life in the cluster.

Good science is best science, right? Be careful.

Knowing and understanding what caused Caroline's Star to occur is the first step in preventing it happening again in the future - or, failing that, being able to detect the warning signs of another such event.

That is not something we will easily do from the safety and comfort of our living rooms.

Sure it is.

You guys seem to spend a lot of time and effort in getting into ships and getting into big fights as you collect your data.

There's other ways. Drones. Make some new innovations in drone tech and you won't be risking lives in going out there yourself? Just my .02ISK.

Drones can only do so much.

Mr. Gauss;

You won't need to make that expedition. Reviewing prior mapping of Barbican and Conflux Hives, and an IKAME pilot having visited Vidette, Sentinel, and Redoubt Hives today as part of a sweep, I believe we can firmly say that the Monoliths are placed identically relative to the Hive and spatial anomaly.

The above is camera drone imagery from Vidette, with standard Neocom marks for locations, and a small tag for the area where the Monoliths are all located.
