With the sudden influx of capsuleers, and of returning spacers, I believe it may be useful to have a roll call of sorts to introduce ourselves and give everyone a brief introduction. So take a little time and show yourself to New Eden!

Hi there, I am Chief Warrant Officer (CWO4) Karina Ivanovich. I was born of mixed Caldari and Matari heritage but have chosen to follow my father's footsteps in service to the Caldari State. My main role for the state is as an electronic warfare technician and advisor, specializing in electronic countermeasures also known as ECM. I am in charge of training and education of aspiring Naval technicians, and as such have some leadership training.

While not actively discharging my duties I spend my time outsourcing my expertise to Pandemic Horde Incorporated, a capsuleer alliance currently trying to take back the Fade region from both The Imperium and Serpentis operators.

It is a pleasure to meet all of you, and I look forward to some great conversations in the future. Even those of you that call the federation home. P

Some call me insane. If the universe is sane, then I embrace that label.

Hello Karina, I'm Claudia Osyn. I was born to a Caldari mother and a Gallente Father, I have chosen to fight and fly with the Minmatar to avoid any moral issues that may arise out of that... like shooting my cousin or something.

I work for the Capsuleer Corperation Non-Hostle Targets*. My mother is currently on Caldari Prime aiding in the clean up of a badly misplaced titan, and my father is working as an adviser to a Non-profit Charity organization helping refugees displaced by conflict. I occasionally....um... Send him work (I sometimes get the feeling that I didn't pick up the example they were trying to set....). I have two (half) siblings who were both DUST mercs. My sister works with my mom, and my brother opened a fancy noodle shop just off Crystal Boulevard.

I tent to fly Amarr ships, (recently aquiring the skill to fly a dreadnought) but also have some skill with my native Gallente vessles.

I spend my free time reading, playing with ship fits, honing my marksmanship skills (I can put seven rounds in three Centimeters at twenty three meters in under four seconds! Thank you mom and dad for insisting I have a hobby Big smile), attempting to teach my cat fencing (it's not going well, her form is horrible), and doing my duty as Goddess of the IGS.

It's a pleasure to meet you. Smile

*We are recruiting by the way.... you know, incase anyone is intrested....

A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.

#3 - 2016-04-30 04:18:29 UTC  |  Edited by: Jason Galente
I'm Jason Galente, of no particular rank or title. Born of a Brutor mother who served in the Tribal Liberation Force after being freed from slavery herself, and a Gallentean father who was a professor of Philosophy at the University of Caille campus in orbit around Bourynes VII. I grew up very poor after my father, Cato, went missing when I was very young and was never found.

I am an economist and philosopher by education, mining technician by post-collegiate training and combat pilot by volition. I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of martial prowess (both inside and outside of the capsule), and enlightenment, in equal measure.

In my early days as a capsuleer, I became a model to pay off my Caille student loans, qualifying as a contestant in Season 2 of "New Eden's Next Top Model", hosted by the infamous Sani Sabik, Revan Neferis. During this time, I learned that the industry was controlled by equal parts gay Gallentean men and bitter, cunning Sani Sabik women who were quite fond of fetishes. Yeah, it was bizarre. I ended up at war with one judge and three contestants before the preliminaries were over, and was assassinated at the host's request for a rather small slight, the payment for which (paid to another contestant) was a fully fitted Chimera-class carrier. Impressed with the whole ordeal, I decided to join this capsuleer and was mentored by him for a period of nearly a year. I ended up retiring for four years due to a personal crisis of faith, leading to a desire to be free to contemplate life's greatest questions, and re-evaluate my priorities in life.

Currently, I am a militiaman in the Fade Standing Fleet and an auxiliary in the Entosis Fleets for Pandemic Horde, and aspire to become a fleet commander soon in the fight against tyranny in the North. My combat specialization is in interceptors, tactical destroyers, and battlecruisers, with an emphasis on engineering and propulsion skills. When I am not fighting in the war, I am often studying strategy, markets, fleet tactics and logistics, and history. I am starting a new colonial venture in the largely empty but resource-dense planets of Fade and Querious soon, aiming to produce nanites, advanced robotics, drones, and cybernetics, while providing industrial and commercial opportunities to thousands seeking to leave empyrean space for new opportunities and liberty from over-bearing governments.

I am also Head Shitposter at the weekly TL;DR.

A pleasure.

TL;DR: I'm a Gallentean-Brutor heretic anarchist thug capitalist warmonger pretty boy who thinks he is funny.

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

Hi, I'm Deitra Vess. I grew up with two Sebiestor parents who were too buzy with their jobs and their own selfish lives to care for my brother and me. I once thought being a Caille girl would be the best thing ever until I actually lived in the federation and after numerous Gallante guys treated me like some novelty arm candy. I still remember my last boyfriend unknowingly got the word "poser" tattooed in Matari on his face, I later went back to the Republic where I belong. After entering into the TLF I found out how much of scumbags my parents were, and realized how much I don't want to be like them. After flying woth numerous corps under the Hashashin Cartel, Circle of two, Overload Everything, Of Questionable Repute, and Tishu alliance banners (Dead Men Rising, Scope Works twice, Hounds of War, and Kush), I've come to forming Non-Hostile Target, a PMC corporation under the Minmatar Militia with Claudia and a few others (yes, were recruiting any non Amarr supporters against the militant Amarr corporations) as well as occasional raids on the CVA under Kalo's fleets because they support our enemies, thus deserve it. Matari Victor, heh.

What's up Kids, Omega Jovakko here, I was born to a small family of proud, stinky miners, I grew up with a pretty decent education and got into science to get away from the debris and unruliness. Proudly graduated with honors in the field of Electronic system management and AI implementation. During my tenure as a citizen in the Caldari military I spent some time on a couple carriers working on their Subsystems, basically making sure they didn't swallow their tongues while I was on break.
I currently am enlisted with the CCDM as a Frigate pilot, soon my request to be transferred to their Stealth Bomber division will go answered.

When not on duty, however, I mainly read up on the current news and try to stay informed as to what we're supposed to look out for next. I also like coming to IGS and harassing friends. Oh, and drink, I do that too and it's delicious. If you ever need a chat go ahead and hit me up, I'll be more than happy to oblige

Howdy. I'm Professor Valerie Valate of Kaztropolis Imperial University.

I was educated at one of the finest convent schools run by the Sani Sabik, and worked as a hand model for a Delve-based jeweller, prior to receiving a Divine Revelation from the Red God, who told me to go out and be a missionary, teaching the Faith to all the heathens and heretics.

Since becoming a capsuleer, I have become the greatest expert on Takmahl archaeology that New Eden has ever seen, with some of my work being recognised by CONCORD itself. Truly, my brilliant research is unsurpassed, and will make my name live beyond eternity.

I am also an award winning author, the IGS greatest comedienne, and the greatest Sani Sabik capsuleer philosopher of the modern era, according to several prominent persons.

I also enjoy reading, baking, snorkeling, dancing, and posting on the IGS.

I am also modest.

#8 - 2016-04-30 07:45:28 UTC
Strike Commander Diana Kim of State Protectorate of Caldari State is reporting in.

I was born in Caldari State, and my parents were Caldari, who were doing their business efficiently. I have chosen a life of a State soldier when I was 11 years old by reasons that shall not be named here. All my life prior to that and after I have been training to fight.

Currently I work for the State Protectorate, defending Caldari State from gallentean agressors. My primary duty lies in destroying Federation capsuleers and their assets, both in fleets or by myself. My secondary duty is finding and destroying any other threat or hostile intention to the State by any means necessary, including fighting them by words in IGS.

I fly all good available ships from a frigate to a dreadnought. (Of course flying rusty scrap metals bound by ductape and frogboats shall not be considered good ships)

When I am not doing my duty, I spend the time by training myself with firearms, cold weapons, unarmed combat and general PT. I like history, philosophy and natural sciences; I like engaging in philosophical conversations with respectful opponents. Also I like putting disrespectful or hostile opponents into their place.

I won't say it is a pleasure, because pleasure is hedonism. Hedonism is a gallentean trait and a respectable citizen shall never develop a gallentean treat.

I will say it is an honor to meet you all.

Also, if you happen to be our enemy, please die. Smile

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

I'm Thibalt Moray, Callsign: "Rook."

I was born thirty years ago on an exploration ship in Venal.

I should say, I was reborn on that ship...I used to develop Drones.....but that's another life.

My family returned to Intaki and I spent the second half of my childhood there. Anyone who knows recent history knows that Intaki has been a hotbed of turmoil. My family joined the movement to free Intaki from both Federation and State control, but In the third month of YC 111, Federation forces in the Intaki system fell to the State Protectorate. Things got bad, fast. What family I had left, lost their lives in the occupation.

Family friends, however stepped in. They recognized something in the kid I was and put me into the University of Callie. I scored well, probably touching on the brains of a former life. Those friends were hooked up, not with the Syndicate, but with the Guristas. So I try to give back to those who helped...when I can.

I've worked In Intaki and Black Rise, ran my own "salvage op" for a bit, got bored.

Now I'm hooked up with the Horde, living in Fade and having the time of my life. But I keep to the roots of Venal and Intaki and I'm learning more every day about who I used to be and who I'm going to become.

Overdosing every day on life itself.

I am Maria Daphiti.

I am Captain of Recruitment with the Praetoria Imperialist Excubitoris.

I am 21 years old. I am unmarried. I am a graduate of Hedion University, and also took classes at St. Rose's Finishing School for Young Ladies run by the Little Sisters of the Most Holy and Blessed Sword on Mehkios (Sarum III), my birth world, to supplement my education.

While there must be some genetic suitability in my bloodline, as my mother Lunarisse Aspenstar Daphiti is a capsuleer, I am the only one of my siblings to be capsuleer.

I am a young militia pilot with slightly over two years of experience in small fleet and solo operations.
I like the rush of capsuleer versus capsuleer combat so my vocation is to fly as a combat pilot in FW low sec to serve and protect the Empire.

My mother tried to place me in a convent with Holy Mother Benedicta Sechah the Little Sisters of the Most Holy and Blessed Sword on Mehkios and then as a nanny with Knight Stephanie Saissore's orphanage project, both of which didn't suit me, so I ran off and joined Imperial Outlaws (ILAW) and Lady Shalee Lianne Cerra.

My mother eventually grew to accept my vocation and after ILAW disbanded I ended up joining the Praetoria Imperialist Excubitoris (PIE) because I was really impressed by what I saw of PIE in the warzone and the professionalism of its pilots when I had a chance to join them in fleet ops . I was impressed when PIE in a businesslike and quiet way just took out one of the Butcher's facilities (at the time) with a minimum of fuss and drama. I've learned from the debacle at Huola when some of the other Militia sacrificed slaves to "celebrate their victory" how important a strong moral grounding is to a pilot, along with combat skills, and wanted to make sure I am serving the Empire and not its enemies. So I joined PIE where I've stayed ever since!

I like music, especially rock n roll, and I like activities on the beach and the ocean, like volleyball.

P.S. if you are interested in learning more about PIE and applying, contact me!

Talk about ruining a thread with an off topic post.

Thanks a Hell of a lot Nauplius.

But if you must interrupt this otherwise useful thread and ask what the Little Sisters taught me, here you go:

"Love is a gift of God, nourished by and expressed in the encounter of each other. Love is thus a positive force directed towards their growth in maturity as persons. In the plan of life which represents each person's vocation, love is also a precious source for the self-giving. Human love hence embraces the body, and the body also expresses spiritual love. Therefore, sexuality is not something purely biological, rather it concerns the intimate nucleus of the person. The use of sexuality as physical giving has its own truth and reaches its full meaning when it expresses the personal giving of each other even unto death."
Text from the Sisters

"In the beginning all things were as one.
God parted them and breathed life into his creation
Divided the parts and gave each its place
And unto each, bestowed purpose"
- The Scriptures, Book I 1:4

God encourages this love, provides glue for marriage's ups and downs, and encourages reproduction, aka children, by making sex a pleasurable act.

Otherwise there'd be no children. no more Chosen to surround yourself with, and to bring forth the light of faith.

"Surround yourself with the faithful, Stand together, for there is no strength like it under the heavens."
- The Scriptures, Book of Missions 71:21

"So the Lord sent forth the Chosen,
to bring forth the light of faith"
- The Scriptures, Book of Reclaiming 4:45

Aria Jenneth. I'm....

Well, I used to be kind of a wandering writer. Before that, I was ... not a very happy person. That's not a time I can remember, though. I'm an induced amnesiac-- sabotage, not voluntary; I'll just put that out there-- so in a certain sense I'm only a little over a year old. My former self was a strong Patriot faction supporter, among other things; I'm ... not. Actually, while I find politics really interesting I don't really align myself with any particular group, except by association. Historically, I've been kind of rootless; I've spent a lot of the time traveling and learning.

I've kept public journals, as I've gone. Some of the things I've learned along the way, though, are things I have mixed feelings about. I'm bad at holding grudges, and there's no one in the cluster I actually want dead, but I've never been one to make other people do dirty work while I keep my hands clean. And, it turns out that, like a lot of capsuleers, I am someone who can kill people, a little too easily, maybe. That's a lot of why I am where I am, now.

In SFRIM, I'm maybe kind of an odd person. My title in the Societas is Peregrinans, which means "traveler," but I seem to have put down roots here in the Empire. I'm neither a member of the Amarrian faith nor a part of the Legionarius program (I predate it), so I'm technically sort of a long-term guest. That's not really my whole status, though.

I've taken oath, sworn my service to Directrix Lunarisse Daphiti. In the most literal sense, I'm her servant, but that word doesn't quite capture the degree of it. It's the sort of employment agreement that's sealed in blood-- loyalty unto death (or one month's written notice). It's not something I entered into on a whim, and I do try to be worthy of the Directrix's trust. Sometimes that means flying with PIE against the TLF; sometimes it means flying with ARC against the Drifters. Occasionally it's meant a duel with Nauplius. The Directrix's daughter, Maria Daphiti, can beat him; I can't, or at least haven't yet.

That's a lot of who I am, right now. There's more, but it's more personal. I'm still curious to see new people and places, but, I'm a lot less of a vagabond than I was. I have a life to build, here, and a lot of work to do, building it.

Hello! My name is Mika "Firestorm" Chen-Shi, M.D.

I grew up in a backwater Federation system in a traditional Jing Ko family. I had success in studies and graduated the university, finished internship and got a degree. After studying gallente language I have moved to core Federal worlds to pursuit a career in medicine. I have worked as Emergency Rescue surgeon until YC110, when the war between the Federation and the State began again. Our hospital was mobilized, however, after a chain of terrible events, false accusations and Black Eagle intervention I have lost my job and license.

Next year I have joined the capsuleer program. I have tried myself as a pirate, freelancer and even soldier for the Amarr Empire.

Currently I fight against Sansha infestations and burn these abominations to save people from a terrible fate of being kidnapped and turned into 'space zombies'. I am trying to get a State citizenship, since I believe that would be the best place for me to live, but without success, because currently I reside mostly in the Empire space, since most of Sansha attacks are there. Outside of capsule I help victims of Sansha attacks as a volunteer in field hospitals. Inside capsule, I prefer flying logistic ships and force auxilaries, however I am skilled in a number of other ships.

I enjoy watching holo-reels and playing holo- and video-games, with them I waste almost all my free time.

I am also a coffee addict.

Hi. My name is Shikhee and I'm from Sinq Laison. I like reading, shopping, and outdoor activities like mountain climbing. I don't have any tattoos, I guess that's weird for a minmatar. When my friend Drenna and I graduated from the Republic Military Academy we thought we'd take a couple of rifters to the Ammatar Mandate and be the best damn freedom fighters New Eden has ever seen. After a week of being chased off by real badasses, we realized that maybe we weren't cut out for that kind of life.

That was over eight years ago, since then I've traveled all over the cluster with my friends and my partner. I've worked in all four of the Empires and spent several years in Null Sec. I've made my fortune off of resource acquisition (moons, planets, asteroids, whatever), but I've also had the chance to be in a couple battles and that's exciting. Recently my partner and I were hired by Societas Imperialis Sceptri Coronaeque. Everyone has been really professional and nice, which is cool because we're not even Amarrians.

My name is Lunarisse Aspenstar Daphiti.

I was born in a colony world in the Kor-Azor region, then after my parents were killed when a blood raider attack hit the colony, I grew up in different places with relatives.

I married and started a family. After my husband's death at the hands of blood raiders about nineteen years ago, I became a Paladin in law enforcement. A painting of my ceremonial uniform (certainly not the day to day one) was hung in "The Holy Grape" wine bar and restaurant in Emperor Family Station by a former colleague mine.

I tested positive for the capsuleer program and after study became a capsuleer about four years ago.

I started my capsuleer career as a solo industrialist. I've also been engaged as a Hostess, matchmaking, party organizer, and to provide introductions, guide to scenic locales and spiritual retreats. In that capacity I've been privileged to help plan and host birthday celebrations, wedding celebrations, bridal showers, baby showers, even funerals, and other events for other capsuleers.

I eventually affiliated with the Societas Imperialis Sceptri Coronaeque where I rose in the ranks until I was given the duty as Directrix. The Society is compromised mostly of the Faithful who engage in all aspects of Capsuleer life, from exploration, missions for Empire entities, industry and markets, and combat to protect the Empire from foes internal and external. With the growth of our industrial operations some independant contractors, primarily Caldari, have also been engaged to augment our industrial operations subject to their compliance with the laws of the Empire. We've also had some members join us for the purpose of exploring Amarr Faith and Culture and in the spirit of outreach, we maintain the "The Good Word" channel.

After the Drifter assassination of the Empress, which shook me badly, SFRIM started a new membership category, Legionarius, to fly with and to support ARC. This category is for those who may not be strictly of the faith or loyal to the Empire (as is our usual criteria for membership), but who wish to put aside any differences and stand with us against the existential threat to all humanity - the Drifters.

I love to garden and be in gardens. Remembering my mother's gardens growing up at the colony world, to my cottage garden on Mekhios, to the wonderful formal gardens of Dam-Torsad, I created an exhibit at least year's New Eden Fair - Gardens of the Empire, which remains open for private tours upon request.

I also love to read and write. To encourage that among the capsuleer community, I've run the New Eden Capsuleer's writing Contest which, this year I hope, i will go into its third year.

I also enjoy activities on the beach and the ocean, which my late husband introduced me to, especially volleyball, surfing and boating.

I have a pet Sarum Shepard named 'Quark'.

Some of you may recall me, while others may not... this is for those willing to read, be they the former or latter.

My name is Yoshitaka Moromuo, son of the late Yamatoko and Osami Moromuo and born in YC 89. I lost my family in an attack on our courier shuttle in YC 104, and was a ward of the State until my entry into the School of Applied Knowledge's capsuleer training program later that year.

I launched my first corporation in YC 109, and published a treatise on non-exploitative business practices that year, to a mild reception. That corporation folded and merged into Lai Dai Infinity Systems in the following year, which saw an attempt to standardize the State Protectorate's supply lines in the Black Rise.

I remained with them for about a year, and left on positive terms to join Washington Mutual as their mining director. We soon joined the Ishuk-Raata Enforcement Directive, though the remainder of the corporate leadership left unannounced some time after for reasons unknown.

At that point, I had joined up with Distant Light Galactic, under the same alliance, and went from a line member to a director once more. A schism in the leadership, however, caused the corporation to split and leave a holding manager in place. I then joined Prophet Industries, in the same alliance, as a line member once more. It was during this period where, as many of us recall, Sansha's Nation once again emerged as a predominant threat to empire space; I willingly joined those investigating and acting against the precursors to the more recent incursions, operating with the loose outfit known as Project Bad Moon in efforts to destabilize the wormholes being used by the incursion fleets.

In YC 113, I returned to Distant Light Galactic to rebuild the corporation; as luck would have it, another corporation - The Dragon's Hoard - was composed of a number of prior members of the corporation, and a merger was quick to occur. This period also saw I-RED end up in war with the Wolfsbrigade, during which industrial operations became quite difficult; we had then departed the alliance, only to later find out that we had been infiltrated and many of our assets stolen by a sleeper operative from TEST Alliance. Shortly after, an old contact invited us to once again operate on the fringes of Providence, and we later saw admission to Apocalypse Now, one of the holder alliances. From there, I had joined Burning Skies - the executor corporation - after rebuilding proved nearly impossible, and later branched off with Organized-Research to form a new alliance as one of their diplomatic contacts. Leadership disagreements later caused this venture to fail as well.

I currently hold operational control of Distant Light Galactic, even if doing so only prevents its name from simply fading away into obscurity. I may take to the black ocean once more... but that's a discussion for another time.

Greetings and may the blessing of God be upon you all.

My name is Templar Lieutenant Silas Ehlonite, and I was born in the Gallente capital on Villore IV. My parents are Gallente terraforming engineers that have done contract work all over the galaxy.

I attended college at the CAS school in Cistuvaert where I studied astrogeology and mining engineering. I met the members of a student group of Amarrian faithful who helped me to convert to the faith. After graduation I moved to Amarr space and applied for citizenship.

I have flown for the Crusade under PAUX's banner in the past, and have also flown for several other capsuleer organizations. I am currently on assignment with TEST Alliance where I split my time between studying their unorthodox combat techniques and operating a mining barge in the asteroid and ice fields of the Vale of the Silent.

I'm not sure what the future holds for me. I am thinking about returning to school to work on my masters in theology or possibly even joining the seminary in order to grow in my faith and better serve God.
