That makes it all the more ironic, Vess.

"Waah Waah, we do more than the rest of you so we deserve all the money moons! Give them to us or DIE!" I believe was the gist of that lil' civil war. And yes it really does make it all the more ironic, doesn't it?

I used to be one of them, by the way. It's one reason why I left. The other reason was scheduling issues. I barely do much of anything for that alliance other than padding their killboard with solo kill. I was more active then.

Also, I swear that Ottom doesn't actually understand the language he is using at all. In one of his threads, he thought an 'armourer' is an 'arms dealer'. He is using buzzwords meant to provoke reaction to try to send a garbled message across to get some attention.

My first proper corp joined your allies back then a few months after they stopped supporting them, honestly time frames a little hazy for me. Atleast you didn't get dragged down into obscurity with them right?

I'm always obscure so that really didn't change anything for me.

Being in obscurity is not such a bad thing sometimes. It can give you enough time to hit hard from an unknown angle so that by the time people recognise what's going on you've enough momentum that you're unstoppable.

Although if you wish to be a rising star of SCOPE and Billboard fame, Obscurity can be an unshakeable blanket.

Obscurity allows alot more than fame. If all you do is seek fame your bound to accomplish nothing. Your absolutely right Moonacre, and you will accomplish so much more Elmund if you put all into what you do.

It's 'Elmund', dammit!

I am not particularly concerned about being big. A privateer's life with a few other things on the side suits me just fine.

Of course, this is always subjected to change. Check back again a couple years later and see if I changed my mind.

Not sure it's uses as an industrial adhesive, because after 2 you're trying hard not to fall off the floor as you're curl up into a foetal position. but it could be classed as a self replicating weight loss aid, not only does it promote the expulsion of food substances in a violent and exceptionally painful manner, it's after affects make you shun food for a good 4-5 solar cycles......

How do you understand him?

Easy.... Read between the lines and have a creative imagination.

In that last case, he said I was wrong, and he was addressing my saying being in a state of obscurity can be more productive. Thus it's safe to say he holds the opposite opinion. Really it's a thing that doesn't have 1 correct answer so it comes down to a matter of perspective.

Fame brings with it scrutiny, which restricts many activities, or at least make them rather inconvenient to perform. I found far more leeway being obscure.

Though there are some issues with being completely obscure. For example, not landing any juicy jobs or contracts. I believe the key is to be known and to have a good rep with only to the ones whom you will be working with. The rest can move along without any awareness of whatever it was I did or am doing.

Everything in moderation basically? Ya can't say I don't agree with ya.
