Can we PLEASE get an option to turn off in-station billboards?

+1 for removing it... just gives me a headache, annoying as hell, and the first thing i did was look for an option to remove it.

i was okay with adding player made ads to the gate bilboards and CQ. i am VERY NOT okay with adding them in the ship dock.
i wonder if the old CQTV trick works.. maybe i can just replace the file with a blank black 1 second .mov file and be done with it.

If they would at least make the default view such that you don't have these things on the screen without turning towards it, that would be nice. If we must have them, make them show an actual view of outside the station. Ships coming, going and camping as may be the case.

Bring back the option to not load station environment, which was a brilliant option allowing everyone to enjoy it whatever their preference was (why was this option removed anyways?).

The feature was broken apparently (but the way they made it is seriously terrible), and they confirm that they hate options. It seems that create an "advanced options" window to avoid cluttering is too much...

I don't know what is worse between the way they create features, and the now-confirmed fact that options is a no-go for them. Probably the second one, as they don't give us any way to avoid specific situations ("Load Station Environment" was great to reduce GPU workload, so it is absolutely mandatory as most of our time is in station. But it is not mandatory for the icelandic logic, slightly different from westerner one...).

This also means that we will never see an adblock option.

me and my husband and his million alts +1 turning off the billboards, its a nice feature, i like it but the frame drop when all his toons are docked up is shocking, he has to fly them all to get the usual 60fps instead of 1fps with the background video's on all of them at the same time. my laptop has a hard enough time running the game the billboards just break my load in times

I just resubbed to the game after months out. Spent an hour looking for the option to turn off station environments as I always had it off before. Couldn't find it.

What was the confirmed logic behind this move?

CCP should make it that when your ships docks you have the option to do so in a way that the frightful billboards cannot be seen, or for those who do like them there should be an option to dock in line with the billboards so they can enjoy watching them.

^ an issue for me as well. This is the first patch in as long as I can remember where having extra clients open gives me a noticeable framerate hit.

They were kind of cool...at first. Now im getting sick of that dude with glasses looking at me every few minutes. Option to turn off would be welcome, or at least a little control over what is played on them.

Please give us an option to turn off the billboards. They are very distractive on multiboxers' screens.
I have to remember to turn the view on my ship every time I dock to avoid this nonsense.

Adding a voice to those asking for an option to switch off the billboards. They are distracting, at the least.

I'm fine with the billboards but I can see why some people wouldn't want it, be it because of the distraction or because of performance. Not being able to disable it or go back to a "don't load station" thing is yet another example of the "that'll do" attitude CCP seems to have in many cases.

I never post on these forums, but my hatred for the station billboards has driven me to do so.

Let us have an option to turn that annoying **** off!
