Where are the drafts saved at?

I was typing up some posts for fiction and I had to leave for work. It showed me that my post was saved to a draft. So I get to work and the draft is no where to be found. Where do I find my saved drafts at?

Your drafts aren't saved. They are stored temporally while you are in the post message interface, but the draft is deleted when you leave that page.

If you're writing anything lengthy, better write it outside of the browser and paste it.

Even when in the forums I have the habit of ctrl+C ing anything I write other than a short blurb. A habit formed from when the forums would regularly eat posts rather than posting them (so much better now).
Saved me a lot of trouble.
Sorry you've lost your writing. :(

I haven't navigated from the page at home, hopefully it will still be there. I just can't work on it until I'm off work. i had hoped to get some work on it.

Thanks for the help guys!

The forum saves a :
Draft Saved file which is linked at the bottom of the full reply post (it doesn't in the quick reply mode).

However, that function has a few quirk such as:
1. It saves a blank file, which does not save the post you type.
2. Saves the post you type, but while retrieving it and showing it to you, malfunction when you try to have it retrieved (not all the times, but sometimes). The proper command or choice to select is [Yes] to the question, do you want to replace the content of the post with the saved draft, or something like that. Again, sometimes, it fails, even if you chose Yes.

3. It is meant as an emergency procedure in case of data error.
This is huge forum, and sometimes, that it to be expected for many numbers of reasons.
Best thing to do is to save your post in other programs or medium.

A good back up is better than no backup.

Also,
4. the forum tends to use auto-correct and change text. How annoying is it? Perhaps enough for brainwashed poster to keep complaining about non-sense... Still remains to be proven at this time, although it's pretty sure already.

Drafts are deleted also when you chose to paste the draft (or replace the post content) and it fails.
Also, if the post you wrote was better than the draft saved, and you didn't save the post before replacing, you will not replace the post with the old draft (in the Saved Draft memory file).

It eats, closes pages, refuse to load, d/c and at least 2 to 15 other symptoms, some of which are not diagnosed yet and who knows when.

Best thing to do is save it or remember it so you can remember it.
"There are too many quotes in the post"
If all else fails, fix it. It always does.
