Custom Overview Disappearing

Over several patches I've noticed that my custom overviews on several pilots along with all general settings are gone. The neocom is back to its original size and won't autohide, all of the bookmarks I've made in the in-game browser are gone, all of my chat windows are gone except for local and corp, and the most irritating part, my overview. The overview is set to the original one from the start of the game and there isn't any history of it ever being anything other than the standard overview. Is there a work around or a fix for this? Has it happened to others? The only thing that I could do to correct this is to save my overview to a note, which don't disappear but alas, I didn't this last time. Normally not all of my pilots have this happen to them, it seems it's only my important ones that experience this however it was all of the pilots this time. Oh and CCPs response it to tell me that they don't see this happening and I don't have any proof, of course I don't its gone, so they close the bug tickets. Someone else has to be experiencing this.

I've heard the new launcher has a habit of reverting to defaults due to issues with how it handles profile/user defined settings. In the past it was due to the launcher looking in the wrong spot on HDD for your settings, not finding it there, then correctly assuming there are no user defined settings and launching the game with defaults instead. I don't know if that's still the case today, but it might help to look and make sure the launcher is actually looking in the right location for your settings.

Outside of keeping backups of your settings and overview files as a preventative measure, nothing that I'm aware of is more recommended in these matters. Beyond that, not sure what can be done for recovery. Either way, GL and back your stuff up...those folders are lightweight enough that keeping several backups of them should take little time and space to do fortunately.

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
