Not sure if this is the best place, so here goes.

I've been playing Space Engineers, and there are a few 3rd party tools that I've found that can grab a 3D model of an Eve ship (grabbed from the Eve resource folder using version 0.5.5 of TriExporter) and turn them into a shell that can be used in the game (using SE Toolbox).

Are there any legal issues if I create and publish to the steam workshop empty shells that look (almost exactly) like Eve online ships?

Is there any kind of disclaimer I should put in the description? Can I take donations? Anything else I should think about?

The design of ships is part of CCP's IP, so if it looks like a EVE ship then you need their authorization to use their IP.

I'd try and get into contract with CCP Falcon.


Also you can't take donations if you do manage to get their permission to use the ships.
