As my cousin Odelya pointed out, the concept of Shathol'Syn needs to be dropped. The Empire has too many enemies, within and without, to afford slaughtering the best of it's leadership. Duke Farokh is a capable leader, but will he be a King or just an Heir? And Sacred Flesh? If it wasn't for this little slice of conservatism, Jamyl Sarum would be alive today. Science teaches us that the species best able to adapt to it's surroundings is the one most likely to survive. We are not in the same galaxy that we were in a thousand years ago. If the Empire can't evolve, the Empire will surely perish.

Clinging to one man is the opposite of evolving.

300 years is reasonable amount of time for a smart and savvy ruler to establish a solid foundation for his kingdom and its people, raise remarkable young leaders, make strong and profitable alliances. Have at least some faith in your King and meet change with an open mind for the good of the Kingdom and Empire as a whole.

All hail the Empress, long may she reign!

We look forward to new prosperity and renewed strength as the Empire shows the rest of the cluster the pathway to God. Let all who live to witness these times observe as the Empress takes her throne, the Imperial Crusade continues to drive back the enemy as the Minmatar suffer crushing defeat after crushing defeat, and God's will shines brightly for all to see as we look forward to a future where Amarr leads all of the lost peoples of New Eden to bow at God's feet.

PRAISE GOD! HAIL THE EMPRESS! AMARR VICTOR!!

Udorians were one of the first to undergo the Reclaiming, they chose to follow the Light of God. They are not outsiders.

May the Empire find stability, peace, and prosperity under Empress Catiz.

Congratulations to Lady Catiz Tash-Murkon, and her Champion Kelon Darklight.

Since it appears that no-one has offered an answer to your question yet, I will.

Tradition holds that the other five Heirs will go through with Shathol'syn at the coronation. The order to do so is the first order given by the new Empress, as Empress, to complete the transition between the previous Emperor or Empress to the new.

Presumably, an announcement is forthcoming as to when this will take place, but there is no need to rush things.

Speaking with others in court, my take away is that the coronation may be some months away. While that may seem long to some foreigners, it is of little significance to Amarr.

My Congratulations to Caitz Tash-Murkon, and the Tash-Murkon family.

I unfortunately missed the championships, as i have been in a Zainou care facility for some odd clone anomalies.

I shall have to catch up on GalNet.

I look forward to a continued strong friendship between the state and the empire!

Submit to the rule of righteousness, perform your penances, and who knows - in a few thousand years it might be one of your descendants that's ascending to the throne.

Whilst it is no secret that Catiz was not my first choice at the start of the tournament, I along with loyalists throughout the cluster will pledge formal allegiance to her.

Formal allegiance? As opposed to allegiance? Then we do hope that your initial scepticism and lack of conviction, doesn’t cloud your loyalty. We have heard more convincing congratulation addresses in primary school...

On a more important matter: We urge all subjects of the Great Khanid Kingdom and all those loyal to the house of Khanid to join us in our plea to His Majesty to continue his reign. The Shathol'Syn is not a proper doctrine and should not considered to be orthodoxy.

The reason for the Shathol'Syn is to prevent precisely this separation you speak of. Your lord has mad a choice; an honorable one. The lords of the houses give their lives in respect of the Faith and the empire. Don't shame your self , or your lord ... and certainly don't shame mine.

You are refering to the Rite of Shathol'Syn, you can read more information here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6299702

I for one find this ancient ritual to be repulsive (especially in light of the Drifter's power) but I understand the reason it was established in the first place.

If you look close enough you see that even the rulers don't want to commit suicide ( Khanid King and especially the late Empress Jamyl Sarum I come to my mind - both of them effectively cheated their way out of suicide one way or another)..

I don't belive in reincarnation I've never believed in it in my previous lives either...

Wow Grooz, that's harsh. Why don't you wait and see what this new empress says and does before condemning her? Jeez, at least wait for her coronation speech.

No !

I never will bend the knee in front of her.
How said my friend. Even until the coronation to the throne heir must prove that he is worthy of the Golden Throne.
Jamyl Sarum proved it in practice, as a pilot and as a strong ruler before his coronation.

"Zweir, you have something to ask?"

"You've shown us five symbols. What about the sixth?"

"There is no sixth symbol, and that's all we have time for today. Class dismissed."

Lady Tash-Murkon growing out her hair and applying different makeup since her CONCORD database profile was last updated is hardly rejuvenation magic. Hair and makeup are not immutable.
