Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I am trying to use the Japanese language client, because my wife is Japanese, and she would like the client to be in Japanese. There does not seem to be an option to use the Japanese language client. When I do a search in Google, it appears that a Japanese language client should be available. Elsewhere, I have searched and found that the Japanese language client may not be available for Cider/Wine (Mac). Is this true? If so, what possible workarounds might I consider? This is very important to making playing this game easier for my wife.
