That guy sure can write. Sometimes I wish his books would be a little less brutal and nasty though.

Man, that sounds pretty thrilling. And about like what I do 9:00 to 6:00 everyday.

Kazuo Ishiguro, The Buried Giant, again. First time was for page turning ride. Second time, to sightsee along the way, and check my theory on what really did happen. A great one.

I know this feeling. I have returned often to that lecture.

But now, now I am unable to read books. My brain starts to journey onto other things so fast.

And when I write, I write so much, but only a portion ends as a final sentence. Its like I know I can write everything and then it would not have much sense. I have to stick to continuity, to something plausible, or else it will be a mess, a pretty mess for me, but something completely noncomprehensible to anyone else.

Erskine Childers: The Riddle of the Sands. As EVE player I'm quite amused how the heroes tend to curse "By Jove!"

A lady with one of her ears applied
To an open keyhole heard, inside,
Two female gossips in converse free --
The subject engaging them was she.
"I think," said one, "and my husband thinks
That she's a prying, inquisitive minx!"
As soon as no more of it she could hear
The lady, indignant, removed her ear.
"I will not stay," she said, with a pout,
"To hear my character lied about!"
