account hacked character stolen

i stopped playing eve some years ago and just recently started playing again, but found that i was missing my main character.
have i been hacked or is this some error? i made new passwords for everything just in case. but what should i do?

and allready in contact with a senior gm , works faster than i remember :D

I think certain things, like an account problem with a returning player, get higher priority.

Characters just don't disappear. The GM will be able to tell you what happened to it. Maybe you had another account, maybe you deleted/transferred it while intoxicated, or perhaps indeed you were hacked, but they will have the logs and let you know what happened even if they choose not to help you because something is suspicious.

But at least you will know.
