No, he was banned for his Fanfest 2012 alliance panel, Mitler included a section in his presentation about how he wanted some guy to commit suicide, and was egging ppl on to harass the guy and apparently try to make it happen.

The reality is that if he's actually done something against the rules and CCP have proof of it, he'll probably get banned, but most of what is posted on reddit is complete and utter bull, which is why it's funny when people accuse Mittani of spinning.

Your overlords failed to defend you, your alliance is in tatters (and, even worse, in Outer Ring), your space is now held by your enemies and still you faithfully toe the party line. I pity you. You are obviously intoxicated by the koolaid.

patience dude, he will be, i hope.

when CCP Manifest confirms the email's authenticity, i'm sure CCP won't just let this pass. together with the s2pid article tmc published, CCP's legal department should be looking and searching for something to slap mittani's smug face and i hope some lawsuits too.

i can't actually believe somebody is capable like that, over a video game? i would actually understand if Manifest punches mittani's face in fanfest for breaking his trust and calling him an idiot after dealing with him professionally.

Mittani is burning down his empire!

If you pull a stunt like this you have just 2 choices: win or go down. If you can't put on enough pressure to win you will loose big time!

1. CCP can't change the background or the name any more even if they decide that it's the worst one ever made. Else they would look like bending knee to some player corp = nogo
2. He posted his threats and his internal conversation with CCP. So who at CCP will trust him again? No one. He just burned his connection to CCP.

Desperate measures are a sign that you loose your ability to think clearly. He got, and will get, nothing and lost all connection to CCP with one post.

Just remember: this is a game and don't fly, or rule, something you can't afford to loose.

Florida law or not (though the arguments are convincing and I'm yet to see any evidence supported counterpoints), sites like IWI are bad for the game. They scam, they shill and they most definitely RMT. Before you go all hurf blurf about how I'm just mad that IWI is blowing their isk paying for bad mercs, go back and check my posting history and you'll see this was my opinion long before this war was even hinted at.

Lol, overly dramatic, 2/10. You should really try taking some independence and going and looking at what both sides are saying and verify it yourself. You'll find that there's a log more spin coming from the reddit crew than the Imperium side. Honestly, don;t take my word for it, go and verify facts for yourself. Telling me I'm drinking the koolaid while you blindly follow propaganda is beyond funny.

They could theoretically remove all director roles from Goonswarm, leave the corps and alliance dead in the water and trap all the assets.

They probably won't of course, but Mittani is far from untouchable. It's CCPs game after all.

Why it it that you seem to have such a problem here about it being over a video game, yet you seem to have no problem when people get pictures and identities of Sion and Mittani - that is the players, not the characters - and repeatedly insult and attack them out of game? That's a legitimate question.

So what do you think of the Florida article? I guess the MBC is fighting in the wrong place, namely in game.

And I have had a good look around - O1Y is quite delightful, a very nice staging system.

It doesn't matter if we know these leak are real, do we ? I bet CCP will be able to confirm internally if the leak is real or not because of the mail included.

Meanwhile it's not really useful to go on a witch hunt, just let CCP deal with this ****.

You do realise that Mittani actually validated the authenticity of the logs when he tried to explain them away, don't you?

they openly and willingly revealed themselves to public, nobody "spied" to uncover their true identities. they exposed themselves, that's price for wanting to be a "celebrity". Both of them made presentations, remember?

and it's not attacking them, it's more like retaliation. with all thier arrogance, manipulation, disrespect, and general as$hattery, thank god that they're still whole. as ive said, it's ok if just RPing, i get that, but when they started to attack people out of game, what do you expect really? I think that it raises some legitimate questions and I've not seen an evidence supported counter argument. The impact on CCP I would say is heavily inflated, but outside of that it's hard to claim that nothing of value is being gambled when the path to converting ISK to cash is so short.

Hopefully a lot, and I'm glad to be part of your entertainment. You realise we'll still be there at the end of it though, yes? I think we're still a little bigger than when I joined SMA, so as of yet I'm not particularly worried.

Openly revealing information or not, people aren't attacking the characters, they're attacking the players. It's out of game. You can call it retaliation if it makes you feel better - though retaliating for someone disrespecting you in game being out of game attacks still seems pretty bad to me - but at the end of the day it's people taking the game too seriously and attacking players personally. If the same thing were to be done to one of the other "celebrities", on this scale people would be demanding CCP take action on out of game harassment, but because it's Mittani, somehow it's OK.

Zappity wrote:

It really doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is whether or not CCP believe any rules have been broken, and people demanding he be banned because they have a grudge against him is irrelevant. Take your hate campaign and go back to reddit.

Except there is evidence, multiple people being banned is actually evidence. Just because the site has brushed it's hands of the bankers when they got caught claiming it's nothing to do with them doesn't change that. Read Nosygamer's blog (he's somewhat of an expert on RMT) and even he does into detail about how unlikely it is for the number of players to be banned as have been confirmed from IWI (not even counting the unconfirmed ones) without there be institutional RMT occurring.

The truth is that IWI has the perfect cover, the perfect method of laundering the ISK to keep it from affecting the site, and more than enough isk to make a fair sum. Without any unbiased counterpoints and independent proof I'm more inclined to believe the evidence presented.
