so lets say someone wanted to make a book in the Eve Universe, would they have to go to CCP for Licensing or are they just "If its a book of a fictional story in Eve that is ok" or something like that, because i cant find too many Books of just a story set in EVE, just something about the Fountain wars and the Eve Source book I have found (Eve Source book is awesome, i love it)

Just out of curiosity

I think either they approach you (If you're an established writer) or you do your writing and then go to them.

There are also three novels, written by CCP staff who used to write the regular EVE: Chronicles and short stories.

In the golden past, players were able to submit short stories for EVE Magazine, which were reviewed by CCP and then published alongside some beautiful artwork.

Much like any fan fiction, if you're not going to profit from it, I would assume they have no problem with it even if it were book length.

However if you plan to release and sell a book that uses CCP's intellectual property, then you will have a problem if you haven't contacted and reached an agreement with them.
