Requesting a 7-day, 10BN Personal Loan, Direct Collateral

Hello MD! I am looking for a personal loan of 10bn to be repaid in 14 days. I don't want to discuss specifics, but the funds will be used to pay a certain someone whom I promised I would pay right away if I lost a particular bet that I still can't believe I lost because it was such a spectacular upset (otherwise I wouldn't have wagered an amount I didn't readily have in hand)

Anyhow, collateral will be 8 marauders (2 of each) and a Nestor, all fully T2-rigged. When I pay you back within two weeks, you contract me back the marauders and keep the Nestor as interest (I believe they sell for about a billion in Dodixie)

I would prefer a more well-known MD persona to take me up on this, as I am really, really sentimentally attached to all my ships (I RP sort of hard) and I really want them back (except the Nestor). Somebody I can trust to give them back to me at the end of all this~

Please let me know if anyone is interested! I figure an approx. 10% interest in a 2-week collateralized loan is fair. Thank you!

*Clarification: I will be contracting the ship to you personally

OK so a sensible reply.
Let's believe your story. You lost a bet and you're trustworthy. You want the ISK to payoff the bet.
Your otherbetkin presumably is just as trustworthy. Why not hand over the collateral to them until you payoff the bet?
You raise the money, give it to them, they give you the stuff back.
Why do you need us?

Every so often in Jita I see a deal too good to be true. It's is too good to be true, I just don't know what the scam angle is yet.
I'm almost tempted to take you up just to find out what the angle is on this one.

Haha. You do make a good point, but as I said above I promised to pay him the winnings right away. Handing over collateral while I repay my debt is certainly not the same as paying-immediately.

I do appreciate your meticulousness in the other posts I read here, so thank you for pointing out that I should mention all the ships are in Dodixie. That didn’t even occur to me~

Where friends and bets and pride are concerned, you handing over ships you role play care about so much, will provide soo much more pleasure to the other party than any amount of isk. Believe me if your story was true, they would take your ships and spend all their time (wet) farting in them before giving them back.

Oh no, the comment on the meticulousness was a genuine compliment, nothing thorny. I feel you're personally responsible for saving many hapless subscribers of MD from clever scams.

BUT! For all your meticulousness, I must point out that you are assuming the recipient of the winnings is a friend of mine (he's not) and that we are relatively close (again, we're not). I suppose some people would walk away from paying such a debt, but alas it goes against both my character and my RP~

Anyhow, I'm sure Mr. Solette will be happy to inform you all once he has his money back.

P.S. Speaking of meticulousnes, I realized I mistyped the title of this thread and put 7 days.

And I still hate you Bmble. I hope Holey catches you!
