Will we ever get full character recustomizations?

I think we should receive free ones if only because of the changes in Incarna, but wouldn't it also be the only 'ok' thing to charge AUR for? I think the best solution is to roll it out for AUR and give everyone a free one.

Changing of a character's name should also be possible with Aurum. If you can change the looks with surgery or whatever mystical technology, changing a name should also be possible.

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

This is something that mmo cash shops were made for.

Character re-customization, race changes, gender changes, name changes. Most MMO's have offered these services for an additional fee.

I've got one alt I'd like to re-customize. She's a little too well-endowed. I don't know if Incarna changed anything but it was most noticeable in CQ.

+1 for re-customization through the NEX.

The day this game allows people to change their name using AUR is the day I'll permanently leave Eve.

Only reason I came back after the Incarna bullshit (first time I ever left Eve just because I didn't like it anymore) is because of Crucible.

Less RMT ****, more Eve please.

If they want to add all that RMT crap in Eve, at least make it F2P, so that I have a very good excuse to drop it like a bad habit.

Inappropriate signature, CCP Phantom.

I'll always hate NEX, and I think any content developed should be developed for the cost of the subscription we all pay.

Anyway, more on topic, while I like the idea of be able to pay for extra things like a name/gender change, or an instantly available remap, I don't see why it's necessary to do so through Aurum. I mean, let me get this straight, insert cash, recieve Aurum, use aurum for service. Why not do so through account management like PLEX? Insert cash, receive service. Notice there's a rather large chunk of development that becomes unnecessary.

EDIT: And it's not like CCP isn't making plenty of extra cash from PLEX sales as it is! So it's not asking much for the game to be developed for 'just' our subscription fees.

Name change won't happen for many reasons. I suspect "makeovers" will at some point.

How come people who make bad choices always expect a second chance?

Blanche DuBois syndrome....

I'd be glad to see the Nexstore shot into the next sun and let people trade/buy the stuff and services(recustomization) with Isks. Now that we have the store already, I don't think CCP will change to isk currency, maybe shut it down completely due to a lack of interest/use. At least we may get the possibilities through Aur which is better IMO than not having them at all.

I disagree with your opinion on that.
Aurum is by design a system to facilitate a microtransaction business model.
EVE is a game designed in such a way that player CHOICES are the game content.
Creating items, attributes, and convenience on a pay per basis takes away the potential for designing a gameplay system that could add that functionality AND increase the game's content (choices, interactions).

It's a ******* game, second chances are expected, especially for something that isn't game breaking or game changing at all... like a full recustomization.

CCP has declared they will never allow name changes on DOZENS of occasions they're pertty firm on the subject.

Yes its a game but some people consider internet spaceshipping to be serious business. why you ask? What if you just hijacked an allaince and raided every corproate office they had. Do a name change and all of a sudden you are not that findable anymore. Thus changing ones name is considered game breaking in this game due to the sort of concequences players are able to reap here which are mostly impossible anywhere else.

Also the AKA system thats been suggested is pertty idotic way to eat up alot of good names, pernamently keep people out of a player corporation/allaince as it becomes a recruiting requirement to have the original name, and makes background checkers have nightmares anytime somone does show up with aka names that would result in leading to the second point.

Then also trail accounts that never rolled over should get deleted to free up thier names at least.

CONCORD wouldnt allow it either, you're to dangerous too go out changing names as a demigod.

I will only allow name changes under one condition.

A free name change within 30 days of rolling over an account from trail to full.
After that its game on.

Now for avatar remakes I wouldnt mind if people where allowed to pay AUR to change race and gender, I mean how is that different form getting a new clone.

There you go 30 pages of argument summarized into one post.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

And? your point is? some people consider name changes part of the full recusomization experince. The term differs from person to person.
