How do I set new launcher to close automatically when I launch EVE?

I downloaded the new launcher on my laptop, but I can't find the setting to close the launcher automatically. Does this option still exist?

I don't want to download that launcher onto my desktop if this feature is not yet available.

I have been trying to get an answer to this very question for some time now. Even went as far as to submit a ticket days ago. Still nothing.

If they removed the option to auto-close, they need to put it back. The client can wait until next login to update. Nothing can be that critical it MUST update RIGHT NOW.

The new launcher has a "minimize to tray when I click the 'close' button" setting but it does not have an "auto-close" setting.

Thanks for the update, and thanks for making my favorite videogame. Why minimize it? It seems like once Eve is launched, I wouldn't need the launcher anymore. Is there a reason you don't want the launcher closed?

Many of us play with the launcher open (both old and new) in order to be able to quickly log in the same account again.

But I don't see why you would want to remove the the auto-close option, for the people that close it. Why make the new launcher worse than the old?

A good reason to close it is Memory/Ram. If you run a tight system 140 or so mb can make a difference. But more, occasionally things like launchers develop memory leaks which require a day or three to fix/patch. Having a default option to completely close the launcher process is a great way to avoid memory leaks / run eve in systems with very tight memory constraints.

That is one reason I asked about it. My laptop plays Eve, but I absolutely need every MB. I won't install the new launcher on desktop until they put that option back in.

The one thing that's strange is they added a minimize to tray upon close action, which suggests they've thought about the launcher UI experience, and made the conscious choice not to provide an auto-close option. I just wonder why they do it this way.
