Just a small little idea for the 'death by a thousand papercuts' team which has probably been submitted before. Let us order the list of people in the channel other than alphabetically. For instance and most importantly by standings to you or your alliance. Blink

No, lets Remove Local Chat.

You don't improve broken features.

Being able to choose how local orders itself would be nice. Nahh it shouldn't be removed, it should just be delayed. You should only show up in it if you use it.

There is absolutely no reason to have delayed local in k-space.

Local should not be removed. It is an important strategic tool that can be used on both sides. If you don't like it and think it should be eliminated, then you just aren't using it to your advantage.

Except if you're a ganker and just want CCP to make your life easier.

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

It needs to be removed so that intel will needed to be done by intellegent people...

Sorry goons I don't mean to nerf all of you. :p

Local may be a detriment to large scale combat, and I emphasize maybe. But it is invaluable to industrialists and those not concerned with pvp combat in that point int time. Like alliance members plexing for some extra isk. It gives people at least the option to have a chance to take cover. If people are not smart enough to use it then they deserve the attack they should have seen coming.

Living in 0.0 comes with the fact that PVP can land on your doorstep at anytime, if you are unprepared to handle this eventuality then you shouldn't be in 0.0 at all. Putting active intel gathering into the hands of the players will make cohesive groups out of the people living in Sov rather than the 'everyman for themselves' type of attitude that is the current trend. Isk making in SOV should be a group effort not a solo activity. Removing local will only farther this effort.

Well honestly it doesn't really matter. I made this thread with the suggestion that you can reorder local other then alphabetically, not whether it should be removed completely or not. That's for a different thread.

You've never set foot in sov 0.0, have you? You're stupid if you think that it'll lead to "cohesive intel gathering," it'll just lead to an even more deserted 0.0. It'll lead to cloaked hictors sitting off of jump bridges and cyno arrays with absolute impunity. Fuck that noise.

For the ones that want no local they offer wormhole space, same isk opportunities as 0.0

Personally i tried wormholes several times and always got my ass handed to me. I refuse to play a game where i have to scan every few seconds to see if im safe or if theres a target ahead i can blow up.

If they removed local and offered no sov upgrades to bring it back or anything like that i would quit. And i very much agree that it would make 0.0 more deserted. They nerfed null hard now i make just as much isk from looting n-rael and lowsec, not because i like it, but because null sec is too worthless to live in,and i refuse to play in high sec with the hardcore carebears and 100 plus in local.
