New player here returning after a short break. We are a new corporation trying to transition from high-sec and move into a C2 or C3 wormhole. Looking for advice on:
- how to configure a POS
- which ships do we need to clear out combat sites in a C2; what about a C3?
- general advice on living in a wormhole

generally c2 can be done solo in drake ishtar prophecy but in group could be couple of t3 destroyers if its c2 wormhole with wolf rayet star effect (confessors are great for this and also hecate ) c3 wormhole is little bit harder but in group of 2 - 3 players will be fine , ofc solo can be done too it will take longer in general up to c3 can be soloed but its not best , better you will do in group of even 3 players . what to use to salvage wrecks? some people will recommend noctis but i would not. catalyst with salvage tackle rigs 4 salvager turret and 4 tractor beam turrets will be fine to salvage wrecks , mobile tractor unit will be needed, of course you salvage wrecks after all sleepers are defeated

did you read up some threads sish https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=350734&find=unread and https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=259479&find=unread ? they contain basic information about wormholes and you should read about wormholes first before moving into one, of course you can join exsisting wormhoel groups to gain experience to later live in own wormhole. but i can tell you that wormholes are scary but FUN. good luck and happy easter in the wormhole space

The most comfortable transition you can look for coming straight outta hs, is a c2 with both a high sec and c3 or c4 statics. The high sec static lets you easily make supply runs, while the c3 or c4 static is where you make your isk.

Cap transfer rattles, passive rattles, rr domi's and to a lesser extent remote rep tengu's are good low to med sp options for ratting in low class space.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to hit me up in game. :D

Great decision- wormholes can be a load of fun.

Hit me up in game if you want advice- I've lived in wormholes a long time, from c2s to c5s and c6s and spent a lot of time shooting sleepers, shooting other players and I've dabbled in a little industry too.

If I can help you out, I will.

Plan to live out of your static rather than your home. Home sites will run dry very quickly but the static is new each day. So pick a home which has statics that you want to hunt or farm.

As for POS, I would keep it simple (tower, corp hanger, ship array, a point or two and a half dozen medium guns) and the contents cheap. Citadels will be here soon, no sense hauling in a bunch of stuff and then replacing it all in a month or two.

Good luck in your adventures.

This is great advice imo, choose your static carefully

As for ships to run: you will get the obligatory passive drake for C2's though I use my Tengu for all pve sites. It runs C3's with ease and C3 relic/datas with good skills. It can also do the C4 Integrated Terminus site.

On the flip side, you can run the C2 relic/data sites which give you a substantial amount of salvage loot and don't take much time at all.

All together you can make over 100 million isk/hour doing any combination of the sites I listed and the only downside is you have to fly a relatively expensive Tengu.

Wait until citadels land then establish yourself in a C2 with a static low/null and C4. Skip C3's. I suggest the low or null so you have pvp content at your doorstep, doesn't mean you have to engage, but it's there if you want it. Run Tengu's, which fyi can run C2/C3/C4's. Coincidently, the same Tengu can run C5 Black Hole sites, but require good piloting skills. Advice, wormhole control, b4 doing anything pve related, whether it be running sites or mining, you must have wormhole control, and by that I mean close, crit and/or bubble any and every wormhole connection you have, including any connections within the C4 if running sites. Be mindful of your timers, as in when your statics become visible on the other side. Fact, all wormholes become visible when they're timers hit 15hrs. Keep a sharp eye on new sigs, they are your enemy. As for living in a C2, you're guaranteed of one thing, lots of traffic : )

I've lived in w-space for the past 4yrs, from C1's to C6's, but coincidently, at this point in time, I live in a C2 with a static Null and C5. Embrace your new environment, learn the mechanics, prosper and survive, disregard my warnings and she'll be the ex you wish you'd never encountered : )

Hit me up in game for further advice.

Could be that I'm unupdated, but as far as I know C2s are limited as to their combinations of statics. There's no such thing as a C2 with low/null and a c4-static. The combinations, unless it's been changed recently (or changes in Citadel):

  • C1/C2 + low-sec
  • C3/C4 + high-sec
  • C5/C6 + null-sec
