Cruisers will aggro drones if put out right away on entering site, but if you get aggro on your ship first, most times all cruisers and new spawns stay focused on your ship.

I've done 40+ sites in highsec and not seen any BPC... losing hope.
Today I saw a rare bug... 10 cruisers as I entered, instead of 5. Run away!

Absolutely true! I was stoked last night, finally got my tank working right and was able to tank all 5 cruisers but it takes massive capacitor to do so with two active tanking Thermal defense modules. Only one passive. The passives just aren't strong enough.

Tried blasters, more useless than the rails, switched back to rails and stayed at 15km and was able to kill one cruiser, but it was not an optimal fit.

Discovered that the cruisers don't shoot the drones (the Frigates do... en masse!). I'm going to dump all EC 300's on them and not worry about activating the defenses except to get the ECM drones on them. Then I can stop burning through cap booster charges like mad.

Light at the end of the tunnel, but yes, awesome fitting experiment lab.


Caracal is tanking site with 3 defence core extenders, 2 x large extenders, thermal amp and thermal field extender II. haven't had aggro of drones from fighters when I use them, just dump them out and they kill. have lost some mediums very quickly of they take cruiser aggro. Done about 30 sites in hi sec, no bpc's Sad. about to try some lo sec to see what we can find (besides fear and our own destruction)

I don't think it is a bug, it happened to me before when I was doing the second room, then realized downtime is few minutes away, so I docked up, then went back after DT only to find 10 cruisers instead of 5. I think this is what happened to you.

Hawk and Harpy are lots of fun. Takes a bit longer but great for running the LowSec sites. Between resists, speed and sig you tank pretty much everything without issue. DPS is a little low but still will kill everything in the end. Had some fun fights when people jumped me too. I do enjoy popping the Geckos that people in Stratios keep sending after me, each of those things is worth more than my ship.

Just checking, are they spawning still? Like, today after downtime? Spent over an hour buzzing aorund highsec like a stupid and didn't encounter a single Guristas site...

Valkyrie skins drop. Haven't seen any drop from detention sites, only from transportation so far.

Ah, so it's gonna be over this weekend? Well, makes sense. CCP has been offering return deals of 10 days for 0.99 and even for free, so anyone interested on the deals to try the event probably has used them already.

After 50-60 highsec sites, no bpc's, no geckos... it seems lowsec got all the goodies this time. Risk/Reward - not complaining. But I finally got something different. An "audio log backup." The item can't be searched for on the market or contracts, but it can be put up for sale... only... no one will be able to find it, lol.

After running 70 sites, number 71 dropped a Rattlesnake BPC Big smile
This was in a 0.9 system.
I have also gotten 2 Dread Guristas missile drops that sold for good Isk.

Finally got through a site ONCE with some help from a Corp Mate (I just couldn't dish out the DPS needed with a standard T1 cruiser, though I ended up tanking most of the damage while my Corp mate in the Battle cruiser skidded by with a ton less!)

Got a MOA skin, a Quafe Zero, and a Gunner jacket... [sigh]

Ah well, wasn't in it for the loot anyway, just wanted to complete 1 site while the event went on.

The cruisers were tanked and dps'd to the hilt, the battle cruiser was a joke. I don't get that set up...
