Hello EVE community...

I have taken a 2 year abscence from EVE, and im looking for some specific help regarding outfitting a Tengu for a specific role. What im looking to do with this ship is run combat sigs in angel space. i do have a scout (running 2 clients at the same time) that i will be running with at the same time, which helps with carrying ammo and obviously safety. I will also have covert ops and be nullified for nullsec travel, along with a mobile depot to refit for combat.

I would rather not use a cloak, as i will only run sites when the system is empty. What tips would you give for survival if i become hunted? I believe if somebody scans me down, they HAVE to still use the acceleration gates to actually get to me, correct?

Ive read some conflicting things regarding whether its better to go ham or hml. i am skilled up equally in both.... so either way is fine. Also, i would rather lean towards the cautious side until i get back in the grove, meaning i would like to have a really good shield tank. I would also like to be able to eliminate ewar frigs relatively quickly, so thats important too.

Are the new missile guidance modules something i should incorporate into my build?

Thanks for any and all replys!

Ham does more damage and requires less CPU (but more powergrid) than hml. The reason to pick HML is because you need more range to avoid stasis towers or neuts.

Iinterlopers will have to travel through the gates so you will have time to see them if they come looking for you. Plus generally they will have to probe your location.

I usually create a fit that includes an improved cloak because it makes it easy to jump out and wait for them to leave. But you could create deep safes before you run the site instead. Having your scout in the system will cause any intruders to be more cautious before trying to jump you because they won't be sure what they are up against.

It's not what I use, but here's a cheap T2 fit to give you some ideas. It has six launchers plus uses a missile guidance system since you asked about them. Change the resistance mods/rigs as needed for the rats in your space. You can add bling and drop the DC as you become used to it. You could change the shield booster to get better cap.
