Remap Gift: Status?

I can't find any followup since the last post where they explained why they took it out. They said they would followup before the 22nd, has that happened yet?

yes, they put it back in (might've been a devblog too...)

It's been reinstated.

I don't remember (and can't get at) the link that explains it all, but if you go into the gift section of your account management (and if your choice hasn't “stuck” yet) it'll be linked there.

They changed the mechanic for the remap gift. It now acts as a "bonus" remap. Meaning, when you use it, you will still get your regular remap when your year long use is up. So say it is a week from today. You will get your bonus and the one for next week. Or so this is how I understood it.

This change was made so that players with a close remap wouldn't lose out a remap.
