Hi Guys,

while playing eve i noticed since the last patch some odd graphic bugs, for the most part i just change the settings to full gimp mode and it solves a lot of the issues. this issue is odd though

I restarted the game as i had the white screen, the client was running as normal all sounds worked fine and when i moved the mouse over where there are the buttons in station i could hear the littles sounds you get at mouse over. so i rebooted the mac for good measure. Starting the client in window mode (my normal setting) it started to the character selection screen but get a blank screen, if i click where a character would be it then loads the game but still no graphics, i jump from windowed to full screen (Option + Apple or Alt +CMD keys) and no change.

i then though maybe a hardware issue. I ran full diagnostics on all hardware and graphics cards all fine, other games work fine. i took the back off of the Macbook Pro and did notice a bit dusty so did the once a year air blow and clean just in case the heat build up is not helping, put the mac back together fired up re-run the hardware diag and all ok. Ran the client, same problem…. downloaded and ran the launcher from the new downloaded version and no change. i did a verify files from this launcher and after an hour it stated no corrupt files but an extra 10500 files found…. Not sure what i should do with those so i backup the cache of eve and then deleted all files in the shared cache folder. run the launcher and it is downloading all the files again (7.95gig).

I re-ran the client again and no change. i then got the client to forget all accounts and reset everything losing overview and any graphic settings. told the launcher to use the default profile and it just sat there on a black screen. i then reimported my setting from the old client and the game works now…….

not sure the last patch did but it had fun with my client. 3 hours later i am up and running again…. until next time.
