Game Clients "Stuck" in Background When Launching Multiple Clients

This is going on for several weeks now. When i launch multiple game clients with the new launcher, some clients often get "stuck" in the background, i.e. one client launches like normal, the other one doesnt appear in taskbar, but runs in the background.

The highlighted one is the "stuck" client. It doesnt show up in taskbar. It has high CPU usage, 25-30%. A normal client usually has <10%. The launcher thinks the background client is running normally , so you have to terminate the background client manually and start it again.

I have this problem on my laptop and my desktop computer. Both run Win10 x64 on Intel CPUs and AMD graphics cards. Drivers are up to date. I dont have such a problem with other programs, so i think the cause is not on my end.

had same issues severeal time ago, old (beta) client start delay solved it for me
use 2x SSD for system and games, did some testing and 1,4s(1,5) delay worked for me (minimum 3-4 clients at once the 3.start to stuck)


but the new introduced slider menu setting was broken a month ago!
(was working in the past^^ dont know who need 120s delay but only 1s for granular delay setting^^)

i deinstalled the launcher and install the launcher 1037417 from
http://binaries.eveonline.com/EveLauncher-1037417.exe
(warning websitelink for eve from ccp point to old version who stuck in update process)

the slider now shows still 1s delay after it is adjusted and the launcher is restarted BUT the delay works!

so find the needet delaytime for your system and hope it works in this way also for you

other way is to start the clients one after the other with the play buttons while counting in your head the seconds (or sheeps or what ever^^)

client start delay is fixed in acutal launcher version

did you try it with several time settings to delay the following clients?

I have set it to 3 seconds, but it still happens. I want to start 4 clients ... 1 client starts normally they other 3 are stuck in background Ugh

Ill try a longer start delay.

BTW, the launcher sometimes to "forgets" accounts, which means i have enter name and password again.

Why are still so many bugs with the launcher? Its getting really annoying.

I am having the same problem. The initial client / account is fine when logging in, everything is normal. But once I try to open the other accounts, the other two are stuck in processes but take about 3 minutes for the window to open. Then when I choose a character on those accounts, I am stuck in a black screen with a loading circle at the bottom left corner of the screen for what seems to be another 3 minutes or more. This problem did not exist until today for me. Any idea what the problem is?

Same issue!! First client loads ok...second client doesn't appear at all I can see it running in task manager...it will pop up maybe 2-3 min later and be working fine

Edit** appears my alt does not load at all now...does downloading and processing but the stays on black screen
