I wonder.

How many generations of Gallente or Intaki blood must toil in the Cold Wind before we consider them Caldari? How many generations of loyal, dutiful work must Gallente or Intaki citizens of a State Corporation provide before we consider them Caldari citizens? What of Disassociated? Reclamation efforts in slums and squats sometimes turn up eminently capable potential citizens. If they are Caldari, don't we benefit from reclaiming that talent and potential labor? But what if they have Intaki blood? Or Gallente? Or what if they are Achuran, but have ancestry not of the State? Do we apply the same standards to Achuran blood that we do to Deteis and Civire? We resurrect Napanii, but do we resurrect Deteaas or K'vire?

I wonder if, at some level, the State is not bound by ideology much in the same way the Federation is.

Were this so, I would say ours is an ideology of duty, of service, of transcending toil to create and improve that creation.

But perhaps it's late, and my thoughts wander.

The only ideology my people have been left with is that of survival.

To this day we are still hunted like dogs, or butchered in the streets.

Is it travesty to fight back?
Are the chains of the hunted impure?

War never changes.
War is not won.
They change all the faces.
But they merge now as one.

The fighting and killing,
is all done in vain.
They war for their freedom,
But it's still all the same.

Men kill each other,
By night and by day.
They dress up in colors,
these soldiers to play.

Some call me insane. If the universe is sane, then I embrace that label.

We? YOU are not one of us, YOU are not one of Caldari, you have dishonored yourself, you shown everyone you are a coward and a liar. There is no place among Caldari for disgrace like you.

Everyone who heard a bit of Caldari culture speak only to Cold Wind, but have you ever thought there are other Winds?..

There is the Wind of the West, teaching ways of navigation and trade. But for a dishonorable tyuui like you there is no way to do honest trade.

There is the Wind of the Storm, the rage of the battle, and probably the most important spirit in Caldari culture. He won't weep for cowards like you.

There is the Heart of the Forest, who will close eyes on you just like you closed eyes on your home. Or more like your former home as you shouldn't be considered one of us anymore.

There is the Mountain Wind, patronizing knowledge and intelligence. He won't speak to a liar like you.

And of course Cold Wind, which makes us stronger. Us, but not you. Because you are a mewling weaklling, just a speckle of dust on Caldari boots. There is no place for disgrace like you among us. Go back to your hiding wormhole and rot there in silence, stinking hnolku tyyui!

Obviously you display appalling inability to understand other cultures, like Caldari. But this is rather expectable from a gallentean.

It's funny how the same could be said about you. That being said I understand enough about the Caldari to know that, despite your barking, Priano is still Caldari. You can't change that. And just because you don't like it doesn't mean you can lie about it.

Stop insulting our culture, dumb gallente!

Besides, I have lerned a lot about minmatar savagery and primitivism since I became a capsuleer. I have also learnt what gallenteans were hiding behind their propaganda and attempts to look 'good people'. And of course I have learnt a lot about ancient and fascinating Amarr Empire.

You speak of Matari "savagery," and yet in nearly the same breath, parade your fascination of those whose foundation rests on the most savage practice of all. I'm likely reading too far into your comment, but such statements bring your ability to learn what you "learned" of the Matari people, into question.

You posed the question at this summit, to what one lives for - I don't. I died a long time ago, or maybe never lived. Before Empyrean transcendence, the Golden Usurper took up residence in my faculties. And now as a capsuleer, I am a vessel wielded by the Misr. To that end, I live for their unconditional freedom.

There are as many Winds as there are in the world.

What of the Spring Wind, with that first hint of warmth and the scent of new blossoms?

Or the Autumn Wind, the Cold Wind's cousin, that serves as harbinger of trial and death?

The Corpse Wind, telling of disaster, defeat, and disease?

The Storm Wind, that batters us for our mistakes, and reveals them to us?

But I'd say the Cold Wind is the one that Achurans and Deteis and Civire share. Even though ours was not so harsh a world, it was the tribulation that forged a people from persons, that shaped custom and culture so that we might survive in the face of challenge, that caused us to abhor waste and adore wisdom.

It punishes the fool and exalts those whose strength serves a greater good, that of the people.

It is the Cold Wind that gave us duty, is it not?

And it is the Cold Wind that reminded us of our shared humanity.

That was true... eight years ago. I had very narrow view on gallenteans. We all 'hated' them a bit, but we also were taught, that gallenteans "were fascists 200 years ago, now they got better". Today my view isn't narrow anymore. Today I see and study gallenteans, I see what you are doing and how. I see your false lies and what you hide behind facade of your pseudo-humanity. You were fascists 200 years ago, even gallenteans, at least one who know history, admit they were ultra-nationalists and fascists. But you haven't changed at all.

I know way more about your people than you will ever learn about our.

Moreover, unlike you, gallenteans, who are fed by your propaganda, I base my opinions on facts.

I have to admit, I never actually was studying Minmatar culture in detail, like I did with Gallente and Amarr cultures. I barely knew Minmatars even exist before I became a capsule pilot. But I have learned a lot from minmatar capsule pilots.

And no, unlike you, our culture doesn't possess any savage practices, not even "rests" on them. Caldari culture is based on law, work for common good, military doctrines and on strive to progress and profit. Our State is the most advanced both socially and technologically.

Living for "unconditional chaos" means nothing but bringing death to others. Both to those, who deserved it, and those who didn't. Maybe you should start with taking your own life to prevent "unconditional chaos" from spreading? As you said, you don't anyways.

I hope it will punish you faster then.

Being Achura and a children of both cultures myself, I would say that these are Wind of Storm and Mountain Wind who are shared to the most extent. Achura has joined and left the Federation together with the rest of Caldari. Maybe Achura didn't fight on Caldari Prime itself and haven't joined the State completely, there were many Achura pilots who gave their lives fighting for Caldari.

Kim is but a barking mad dog who knows nothing about our people or culture. All she knows is the personal hatred she holds for certain Matari and so chooses to judge billions of fellow human beings through that flawed and broken lens.

Luckily for her most of us recognize her particular strain of bigotry and xenophobia as hers alone and is not shared by the vast majority of other Achur or Caldari.

Anabella Rella is a vivid explanation why I consider minmatars savage and primitive uneducated tribals. Just look at what she speaks and how.

Just think for yourselves, is it even possible to talk civilized to someone like Rella? They won't understand words. I have met Rella in space. Show them the gun, and Rellas runs away in fear. That's what these savages understand.

Of course, when you say "law," you mean by laws in which you can agree with, or at the very least tolerate. This, you say, is culture; however, to one whom the law goes against, this is tyranny. I wonder what you would call an action by the State that is egregious enough to spurn you. Or in your cognitive dissonance, can the State do no wrong?

Matari too have law, natural law. And natural law says, that there is no master, but that which you freely accept. This is not chaos as you would define it, this is mutual respect, and peace. Your law is one levied out of fear.
