I used Adobe After Effects with the plug in from http://www.fnordware.com/WebM/ and then used Adobe Media Encoder with the following settings. Minus the audio of course and the quality was set to 95, so the file doesnt get bigger then 3mb.

Confirmed that we should be able to handle any valid .webm format.

If you're using the Fnordware plug-in for Adobe Premiere, these settings might be a good place to start:

  • 1024x576
  • Square pixels
  • Field type: None
  • VP9
  • Constrained quality
  • Quality 100
  • Bit rate 200 kb/s
  • Sampling 4:2:0
  • 8 bits

    • Our video team are confident that we can work with any valid .webm file that meets the stated requirements, so if you find other settings work better for your needs, please feel free to use them.

    Edit: These settings are exactly what Tora Bushido just posted!

    Question for CCP and their application of the "holographic" effect"...

    Do you recommend that black or white backgrounds work best for your transparency / opacity "holographic" tools or do textured backgrounds also work and not generally not look horrible in the end product?

    Hi!

    Already making my entry, so the big Q is - most of the old billboard ads have transparent backgrounds. Should we stick to that or backgrounds that make sense are OK?

    While Corp Recruitment is the obvious answer to the question "what to do with those billboards"
    Does it have to be video, could it also just be a slide show of single pictures that together of course make a whole?

    My video is almost complete however I am having issues converting to webm. I don't have access to Adobe Premiere etc - has anyone had any success with any other tools?

    since CCP doesn't give any answers regarding alfa and transparency, can we get replies if we encoded good? it's not an encoding contest I hope :D

    I'm not sure if you've found anything already, however Cloud Converter works wonders.

    https://cloudconvert.com/formats/video/webm

    Just scroll to the bottom and select your input file type (e.g .GIF, .MP4, .MOV) and output it into .WEBM

    You'll probably have to decrease the video quality in order to keep it under 3mb.

    It's going to be transparent if you use a black background. That's the way illuminated objects work.
