I have a question about the credits. Do you receive them each time you advance a rank? There's been at least two occasions where I've gone up a level but didn't receive any. Currently on rank 30, with about 16,500 AK - is this average or below/above?

I'm just starting on this. I guess it could use a bit more of a tutorial, but I've been able to pick up on it quickly. I can see how folks could get turned away from participating, however.

But regardless of that, CCP, please don't shut down support for it too quickly. I like the purpose and I can see something like this needing more patience and tweaking than what one might be accustomed to giving a small part of the game.

How exactly does the Community Consensus work? It all added to 135%, am I wrong in thinking that was a display bug?

I had a good laugh over the sample image being identical to the example of Endoplasmic recticulum yet still only 62%

Each number is an independent figure showing what percentage of people rated that image as having that property. Since an image can have more than one property it's not going to sum to 100% normally.

Don't know why I assumed that particular image was only Endoplasmic recticulum

That explains it, Thanks

As long as you're trying to learn the nuances, then you're doing your best. Keep in mind that the consensus is not always correct.

I've seen low consensus for easy-to-miss features in an image, such as a bridge, that are definitely present but off to the side.

I've also seen low consensus for marking an image negative where the image's staining closely matches the samples provided. Instead it'll be a 75%+ consensus on cytoplasm for sparse, super-faint green dots.

The problem is in the mean time we are getting penalised in accuracy for disagreeing with people taking the easy option and not reading descriptions properly.
Havent looked at it yet, but cant they add a timer variable ? The more time you take to analyze, the better ranked it gets ?

Essentially punishing people for being good at analysing samples. Bad idea.
