Can someone explain why even CovOps Scouting is not (near) guaranteed failure?

12k is a very long way

Protip for a dedicated decloaking ship. Fit a probe launcher and launch a probe as soon as you get aligned to your decloak target. They move 5k m/s and shoot out in the direction your ship is pointing. And they decloak.

even if you are much better then your opponent, even a 20% higher DPS on the noob side will probably lead to most of your ships deaths.

There are tricks, to make burning away cloaked, well, completely impossible, like dropping containers in a pattern, several patterns exist.

2 things can fix gatecamps and actually make it fun for every one.

Lower the size of each bubble, as a matter of fact COMPLETLY redo bubbles from scratch.
Make containers go poof in less then 10 seconds if dropped within a certain distance of a bubble (you have to anchor it to make it STAY)

Make interdiction probes UNRECOVERABLE and make them 3-4 times more resource intensive to manufacture.

If you're in a properly fit covops frigate, you will hit at least 3500m/s when you mwd. If you aren't lazy and warp into a drag bubble, it is very hard to die. It should take a large bubble, a large camp, and a lot of bad luck to die.
