Launcher Keeps Prompting for Update

Since a few hours ago my launcher keeps randomnly opening up even though I've not clicked on it and provides a message that it needs to update to a new version. The bar does not load. I press ok it goes away. After 15 - 30 minutes the launcher window pops up again and says the same thing.

I love Eve but I do need to get other things done every now and then. :)

Something is preventing the update from going through.

Please look in your shared cache folder (you can see its location by selecting Shared Cache from the drop down menu) for a file called updater.exe - try deleting that file and restarting the launcher.

If that doesn't help, try running as Administrator.

So didn't see this message and tried to do the install again this morning now I'm faced with a list of errors.
The protected entry point ??0QColor@@QAE@$$QAV0@@z could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\EVE\Launcher\Qt5WinExtras.dll[/Qt5WinExtras.dll

I would provide a few more but I can't copy and paste the messages.

They are similar except the procedure entry point changes and so does the file. the next one is and issue with the Qt5Widgets.dll

There is nothing in the shared cache folder.

Deleted the updater.exe and restarted launcher as Administrator as you suggested here. Still stuck at "downloading new version 1014967" with no progress showing.

I'm running on Win10 OS so not sure if that has anything to do with it, but after just paying for a 6 month subscription yesterday I'm not very happy atm.

Update:

Patch updated finally, but will apply? The option to hit "ok" on the apply or it will automatically apply does nothing. After the automatically apply countdown got to -75 seconds it went back to launcher screen and closed the launcher on its own.

Restarted the launcher again and it is trying to download the patch again. Any suggestions?

Good stuff guys.

Can you send me your logs?

Gather up the logs from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher, as well as updatelog.txt from the shared cache folder and put in a Dropbox or Google Drive, then send me the link in EVE mail. I'll take a look right away and see if I can figure this out.

So, as it stands now, I can no longer even see the window in the launcher that shows account name and password.

what is currently showing is an empty square where those two lines used to be and a sentence saying "The page was not displayed because there was a conflict."

I decided to uninstall the entire program and try to reinstall on my SSD instead of my secondary velociraptor drive. Can't even do that now since I can't put my account info or password in to start the download.

Oh the joy.

On the subject of updates... I thought one of the purposes of the advanced rollout was to avoid the endless updates everyother day.

Would you prefer we stopped improving it?

I'm guessing that the reply was made when there was some tension to be released, or that maybe it just sounds worse than it is. I think the basic direction of GoMg JoeE2's statement was that he thought the frequency of downloaded updating was stated to be decreased somewhat with the new cadence.
