Opening Game / Resolution error?

The first time logging into the game I'm having issues with the set resolution of 1680x1050 (full screen). My entire screen is like shifted to the right while 1/4 of the screen on the left is black. In order to alleviate this I change my set resolution to something else. The client will then ask to confirm my new resolution so I click "no" which reverts it back to said resolution... problem fixed.

What's causing this error?
