EVE directory bloating up

It's nearly 20Gb right now, was 7-8-ish after I made the launcher re-download everything few months ago. I also noticed that it downloads pretty big chuncks of something (I only see the green progression bar in the toolbar) quite often and not only after or during DT.

I searched in the EVE directory but wasn't able to find a "cleanup tool" of sorts. There is a maintenancetool but it looks like something to update "components" and I have no idea what it's for actually. Moreover all the files are encrypted into SharedCache/ResFiles so there's no way to grasp which could be old or anything at all.

CCP WELP my ssd is reaching critical mass and it's on the verge of frack up!

Open your launcher, open the list up to the right, click "Shared Cache" , Verify cache.

Last time I did that it tried downloading an undefined amount of data and broke my install, hence the re-install from scratch. Didn't know it was also cleaning up the old stuff but it actually found 4380 old files, that's about 5Gb less than before. Now the EVE dir is still more than 13Gb but I guess that's how it should be.

Do you have test servers installed? The current EVE tranquility install totals 13GB atm.
