Did you actually read it? Flak has quite large minimum range, so it will not help against anything that is orbiting you, so you need a smartbomb for it.

The idea of Flak is to give Smartbomb-like damage on distance and over time.
Please use your imagination.


so the point is a smart bomb with none of a smart bombs limitations -1

I always found it strange that battleships of the "modern" are absolutely covered in weapons for "practically" any target and did have a feet as support, but some how, in the eve universe, only one gun type per ship is the norm. I think this would be really awesome for marauders, but of course, there is absolutely no way to balance this in any way bla bla blaa..

Really? next your going to tell me that irl it's a bad idea to fly through a planet or you can't actually send information faster than c. i mean we all know that realism trumps gameplayright?

One extreme to an another.. I love this game.. But it's community is so toxic.. I thought it would be interesting as hell.

the point was what there is irl has no weight when discussing game-play and balance outside of sims

what is toxic is all the ppl wanting larger ships to just be flat better
