Planetary Interaction - What does this number mean?!?!?

I've asked around in game but no one has been able to tell me what the number in the route window of the extractor control represents. It's not current cycle amount and it's not hourly amount, and it's driving me crazy not knowing. If anyone can tell me, I would be so grateful.

Been a while since I looked, but one-upon-a-time links had a volume limit that could be upgraded.

It may be confusing if you are thinking units and not volume.

Of course, the UI may have changed since I last checked.

It's the very first time you extract the resource with the extractor, the first batch is represented by the said amount.
