Closing an Office and unfinished Industry Jobs ---- What happens?

Can anyone confirm what happens to un-finished Industry jobs if a corporate office is closed prior to the job's completion? Is it an instant fail? Or are the jobs (from active corporation members) simply completed over time (as normal), but with the results being deposited to "Market Deliveries" for the Corporation verses 1 of the 7 slots it was originally targeted to be delivered? Or is it something else?

The game says, "may fail" when it asks you to confirm the act of closing an office. I'd like to "know".

Thank you! :-)

i don't do much indy stuff, except researching t1 bpcs to t2 and manufacture them in an NPC station in lowesec. although we need to own the system inorder for me to dock since im in FW, we never "opened" an office in that station afaik...

so i think that's irrelevant...

Buy a cheap bpo and run a test?

All corporation jobs in that station are being cancelled.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Thank you, all.

I think I will do a test, Mara, as I imagine it will be the only way to know for sure. To be clear, the cost will be in the rent, not the BPO, as I am sure that blueprint isn't lost in the process.

Thank you, Linus! By-the-by, I'm totally stealing your signature for use in everyday life, as it succinctly spells out a belief I’ve subscribed to for years. Lol

Side note: I was pressed with this decision, when I discovered that a high-sec station's rent went from 6M/mo to almost 70M/mo. I have (still do) several (maybe ~30) industry jobs (including those by alts) with many being more than a month away from completion. The 10x jump in rent suddenly became a factor. In the end, my choice was to go for at least another month, as more than a few jobs were manufacturing ones that "might" have failed too -- potentially adding some pricey hauls to the mix as well. Since they alone cost more than the rent, I thought it wise to pay up and sit it out. I might still test it later, but at a cheeper station.
