Hello everyone!
We're planning a huge set of module tiericide in our March release and this thread will serve as the feedback location for changes to Tracking Computers, Remote Tracking Computers, Omnidirectional Tracking Links, Tracking Enhancers and Omnidirectional Tracking Enhancers.

We're adding new named versions of Omnidirectional Tracking Links and Omnidirectional Tracking Enhancers, but leaving the rest of those groups alone at this time.

Remote Tracking Computers are getting a sizable set of changes. We are unifying their cycle times at 12 second, buffing tech 1 significantly, and increasing the base range of the modules by a large margin (including the addition of falloff). The increase in base range will go alongside a change to the 150% per lvel RTC range bonus that is currently on Scimitars and Oneiros'. That bonus will be replaced with a 5% per level RTC falloff bonus, as the majority of the old effect has been rolled into the module base stats. The RTC strength bonus on these ships will remain untouched.

We are continuing to observe the use and impact of Missile Guidance Computers and Enhancers. We do hope to add faction versions of these modules in the future, but we need to give the impact of the base modules more time to settle first. As such, we don't have any additional adjustments to Guidance Computers and Enhancers planned in this particular patch.

Here's the most recent iteration of the numbers:

We're very interested in your feedback on all these changes. We'll be releasing them to Singularity next week if all goes well, so that you can try these and all the other module changes planned for the March release. Please use this thread for passing along your feedback, and we'll be reading.

Thanks!

Please take another look at Medium autocannon falloff. While this doesn't warrant changing the TEs themselves....they have suffered since the last time Tracking Enhancers were changed.

Shouldnt tracking links also be more powerful than tracking computers since they require teamplay?

@Fozzie I'll just post this here as it seems to be most fitting: What about Tracking Disruption?

Tracking Disruptors were changed in the december release without any prior discussion or any mention in the release notes. It almost looked like these changes slipped in by accident, especially as there are now 2 faction disruptors in the database that are not yet activated in the game. The top tracking disruptor ('Investor' TD) was heavily nerfed and I was expecting with the announcement that there would be an e-war tiercide, that these changes would be finalized at a later date (as in: now). Did you forget them?

Faction and Officer versions of Missile Guidance Computers and Enhancers, please.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Dear Fozzie, why does TC2 has 7.5% bonus to optimal, and 15% bonus to fallof?

Don't you think that Lazers should be treated equally with autocannos and blasters?

Atm lasers are already worst turret type, because on avarage amarr hull you have:

1) combination of poor tracking with lack of utility mids for range controll in close combat and insanely poor speed and lack of projection bonuses for kiting (horrible tracking with auroras)
2) em/thermal lock, with high base armor EM resist lazer boats at inherent disadvantage in any brawl situation (because armor ships tend to brawl a bit more often than shield ships), scram kiting heavy penaltised by EM lock (say hello to 70% base minmatar armor resist)
3) usless cap usage bonus, that does not affect ship's combat power.

With current 15% scripted bonus to optimal, I can hardly see any advantage over 20% Locus rig. BTW rig eats no cap at all. 10 cap/cycle is horrible for any ship below BC size.

is it normal that tracking enhancers have more boosts than unscripted tracking computers?

otherwise nice change!

what about 'economist' tracking computers? also 'tycoon' remote tracking comps?

Little confused as to why remote tracking computers are now worse than the local variant. Kind of counter-intuitive. Right now on TQ they are on par with one another

hey fozzie how about you fix the biggest issue out of all for tracking computers.

let Tracking computers apply before Tracking disruptors do.

So you increase the capacitor cost of the TCII by 3(!), but don't increase the Omnidirectional Link at all. **** drone privilege!

Increase Optimal remout track comps IMHO interesting thing, new formats can appear. In general, it would be interesting if remout track computers sympathetic to improved efficiency. to become not the same as a track computers. It would be interesting formats like paired turret ships to have more cooperation in the fleet. Players must lock their pair and activate track comps

Any ETA on when we might get thrown this bone...?

It isn't clear by the name alone, that Omnidirectional Tracking Links only affect drone tracking. Please consider changing the name to "Drone Tracking Link / Enhancer."
